What’s This TV Show About?
A Freeform family drama, The Fosters stars Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Hayden Byerly, Noah Centineo, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, and Cierra Ramirez. The story centers on Stef Foster (Polo), a dedicated police officer, and school administrator Lena Adams (Saum). An interracial lesbian couple, Stef and Lena are raising a blended family of foster, biological, and adopted kids, in San Diego.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of The Fosters averaged a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 619,000 viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 27% and down by 23%, respectively. Learn how The Fosters stacks up against the other Freeform TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Though the ratings are still positive, I wouldn’t be surprised if this TV series ends with season five, and that nice 100 episode sized syndication package. Remember what happened with Switched at Birth. Although its fourth season received higher ratings than season four of The Fosters, eventually, Freeform announced that family drama would end with season five. Renewal there contract or make it a netflix serise for seson 6 like Longmire that would work better then nothing
I love this show and so hope that it is renewed for season 6 and beyond. Such real life scenarios and heart warming characters.
I think they should come back for a season 6 Because I just started watching this on Netflix but I have fallen in love with the family and I can kinda relate in one way or another to them.

Please RENEW!!! We need to keep this show going. Season 6,7,8,9,10… I love each and everyone one the characters. So brilliant! It’s a reality -modern family/drama! Yet, how STEF AND LENA handled all situations- very inspirational. I cried so much how this family stay so strong and connected. I’m looking forward to January 2018 season 6. Come sooner! And Mat- you are so gorgeous!
