What’s This TV Show About?
A Freeform family drama, The Fosters stars Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Hayden Byerly, Noah Centineo, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, and Cierra Ramirez. The story centers on Stef Foster (Polo), a dedicated police officer, and school administrator Lena Adams (Saum). An interracial lesbian couple, Stef and Lena are raising a blended family of foster, biological, and adopted kids, in San Diego.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of The Fosters averaged a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 619,000 viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 27% and down by 23%, respectively. Learn how The Fosters stacks up against the other Freeform TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Though the ratings are still positive, I wouldn’t be surprised if this TV series ends with season five, and that nice 100 episode sized syndication package. Remember what happened with Switched at Birth. Although its fourth season received higher ratings than season four of The Fosters, eventually, Freeform announced that family drama would end with season five. If this cancels i give up on this network! I never wanna get into a show knowing it’s probably gonna get cancelled. Just stick to netflix and go bare bones with my cox cable. Fosters Bradley Bredeweg is brilliant and so is Fosters!!!! So entertaining… KEEP IT PLEASE!!!!
Please renew the Fosters for another year I really enjoying it each week but I think as for the reminder of the season they shall continue as it is but for next season instead of airing in the spring/summer they shall shift to September just because they always air it in the summer they shall try to resume their sixth season in the fall & presumably their last season just a change that all instead of waiting to come back in January.
I love the fosters, and definitely want more.

I love The Fosters so much. There were only 9 episodes in season 5. There needs to be a season 6! This show is literally my life.
Please Please Please renew this show.. It is one of the best shows on television. Finally a show that deals with real life situations, the acting is great, the cast is one of the best ever and the show is amazing. Free Form will lose a lot of viewers if this show is cancelled.
I absolutely love this show I think there should definitely be six seasons and actually a lot more. I have the show automatically recorded onto my TV just so I never miss it. My life and my family can relate to this show so much. Please don’t take it away and make many more episodes…. there’s so many people that love it me and my mom actually have rebuilt our bond because we have a girl’s day every Tuesday and we finish it off by watching The Fosters usually.
I really enjoy this show despite how cringey it gets with the political stuff at times. The characters are relatable and it keeps you invested. Hope there’s a season 6.
I Feel Like it should Be a season 6 the Fosters is a really good show and it’s getting really good don’t stop now.
Please keep the season going!!! It’s one of the only good shows left on television. I would be devastated if the show was cancelled.
