What’s This TV Show About?
A Freeform family drama, The Fosters stars Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Hayden Byerly, Noah Centineo, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, and Cierra Ramirez. The story centers on Stef Foster (Polo), a dedicated police officer, and school administrator Lena Adams (Saum). An interracial lesbian couple, Stef and Lena are raising a blended family of foster, biological, and adopted kids, in San Diego.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of The Fosters averaged a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 619,000 viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 27% and down by 23%, respectively. Learn how The Fosters stacks up against the other Freeform TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Though the ratings are still positive, I wouldn’t be surprised if this TV series ends with season five, and that nice 100 episode sized syndication package. Remember what happened with Switched at Birth. Although its fourth season received higher ratings than season four of The Fosters, eventually, Freeform announced that family drama would end with season five. I would feel disappointed. I also watch The Fosters on Netflix, because I don’t have cable. I LOVE this series, is the best I have ever watched. I feel is a very complete series that is down to earth and real. It deals with all the challenges a teenager, an adopted kid or teenager and a parent can encounter, and the best part is, it shows the audience the best way to handle things. Renew for season 6 the fosters
Canceled or Renewed is totally up to Freeform. However, a person with no cable, just finish catching up on Netflix Season 5 Episode 9, the season still needs to be completed and all loose ends need to at least show a completion. Too many cliffhangers.

In season 5 it left off like it will continue it so maybe they will have it still on
I really think that the show The Fosters should be renewed for a 6th season. I really want the story to continue where it left off and i wanna know what happens. Plus if they leave us hanging without a good ending fans rage a lot..

Please don’t cancel this show I really enjoy it and relate to it and would be devastated if you cancelled . Plus you can’t leave us hanging with the way season 5 ended. Atleast of you can’t keep it on Freeform pair up with Netflix and keep the show going on there ? I love The Fosters !
Please dont cancel this show. I relate to this show alot, other than the foster family part… but the drama, i relate to. I love this show so much I would be devastated if you guys were to cancel it.
