TV show description:
This thriller TV show is based on the Turkish television series titled Suskunlar and revolves around friendship, love, revenge and the moral dilemma of how far one will go in the pursuit of justice.
In the series, five best friends have a dark secret they thought was buried 25 years ago, but they soon discover that they can’t hide their past forever.
Jackson Brooks (David Lyons) is a successful attorney who seems to have it all. He’s engaged to his boss, Marina (Claire van der Boom), and he’s on the fast track to becoming partner at his firm. His world is turned upside down when his long-lost childhood friends unexpectedly reappear after 25 years.
Years ago, Jackson, Gil Harris (Michael Raymond-James), Shawn Cook (Larenz Tate), and Boots (Derek Phillips) always stuck together, like brothers. They spent their boyhood summers in the small town of Dalton, Texas, swimming in the quarry, shooting bottle rockets and doing everything they could to mine the fun out of small-town life.
But their idyllic world turned chaotic one fateful summer afternoon. A well-intentioned and heroic attempt to save their friend Jessie West (Bre Blair) from her alcoholic mother ultimately cost the 13-year-old boys nine months at Quitman Youth Detention Facility. Their lives were changed forever.
Now 25 years later, the nightmare of the worst nine months of their lives has resurfaced. A mystery even deeper than their buried past is uprooted. The brotherhood must now band together to right the wrongs of their shared past. It’s a journey that will push the limits of their loyalty and ignite in them an unquenchable thirst for revenge.
Other characters include Detective Liz Winters (Deidrie Henry), Warden Ray Carroll (Conor O’Farrell) and Terry Bausch (Demetrius Grosse).
Episode #10 — She Sang Hymns Out of Tune
The group pull together for their final chance at vengeance and no one emerges unscathed.
First aired: June 5, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Game of Silence TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
One of the best new TV shows in a long time. We do not care for most of the reality shows and really enjoyed this show. Cannot believe Game of Silence may not be returning–big mistake if it does not return!
It figures. Every time they get an exciting show the powers that be yank it off the air. They should have a number after every show where we could call if we like it or not. The viewers have no choice. It’s disgusting the shows they put on today. How can my voice be heard.? I think my opinions are better than whoever the networks are hiring. My friends and I discuss the show every week, we love it! Perfect casting and exceptional story. My condolences to those who gave this the hatchet job as you must be sick!
This is one of the few great dramas on right now. If they could renew a show like Wayward Pines this show shouldn’t be canceled. There are SOOO many shows out there that I am amazed are still on, yet you get a great one like this (that I have yet to see a bad review on) and you cancel it! Why???
I love this show bring it back
The best show I’ve seen in a long time, with a great cast of actors/ actresses! Maybe another network will pick this up, (hopefully). Thanks to HULU,I didn’t miss a show and got to go back over ones that were WOW!!
My husband started watching and told me a bit about the show. I started watching the first episode and got hooked.. This series is really good. I know so because I am really fussy and this got me from the first 10 minutes Please reconsider
Nooooo!!!!! I want to see the rest of this show!! Bring it back!!! Bring on season 2!!!
Great show bring it back
My husband and I looked forward to every episode of Game of Silence. We had seen Sleepers, and were enjoying the development of the TV show of the same premise
Game of Silence was an incredible show that left you wanting more at the end of every episode. I couldn’t wait every week until the next episode. And word of mouth was spreading very quickly about the show, but I guess not quick enough. Very surprised and disheartened that NBC decided to pull the plug on the show so quickly when they built it up so much for weeks before the premiere. They should have known better then too bring out a new series during two different major sports playoff times ( basketball and hockey) AND the start of the… Read more »
Why NBC would you cancel Game of Silence? This was one of the best shows you aired. VERY Disappointed! Don’t think I will keep watching your network because you keep cancelling shows that I like after the 1st season.
NBC why did you cancel the best show you had? You may think the ratings were not good enough but everyone knows the ratings are completely fake. I had a chance to be a Nielsen participant but declined. I did not want their intrusive equipment in my home tying up my phone line. They pay you a couple of dollars a month if you accept their offer. Certain types of people would accept and they are not at all representative of the whole country.
People don’t want to invest time in a new show for fear that they will be cancelled. I’m still upset that you cancelled ER! No wonder ratings are down at the start of anything new.
No don’t cancel
Totally hooked! This show needs to continue!!!
