As expected, there won’t be a second season for Gang Related. FOX has cancelled the summer cop drama after one season of 13 episodes.
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.

The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers.
That was a poor showing right out of the gate and the ratings got even worse as the weeks progressed.
It ended up being one of FOX’s worst-performing summer series. Despite having a small but loyal audience, it was expected that the network would cancel the show.
The final episode, which aired August 14th, left plenty of things unresolved.

I absolutely loved Gang Related and was very disappointed that Javier’s boys never got a chance to avenge their father. Very very disappointed! !!

This is just like fox to start a show and cancel it, they seem to do this a lot, I am done with fox and will never start watching a series unless it makes the third season!!!!

This show was fantastic…what is wrong with Fox Television? This show should have aired during the fall season…unfortunately, I figured this would happen on a network which seems to dismiss the more exciting & racially diverse shows for boring more conventional ones. Too many Latinos, African American, and female serious story lines are a strong indicator of another idea by Fox TV that was just a tease…shame on your program directors for being so predictable…I will really miss this show.

Fox is lame and corny as hell for canceling this, they should have ran the season during anytime but the summer, who the hell has time to watch a season in the summer? This show is better then most series they air in my opinion, the best series since prison break. Bring this show back and air it during the fall, winter, or spring, not the summer, while everyone’s being beach bums partying on vacation.

I am extremely disappointed that tgey cancelled gang related. It was an excellent show with great potential. Very foolish on the part of whomever made that stupid decision.
