Once again, ABC didn’t announce if General Hospital had been renewed for another year but we know the show wasn’t cancelled either. The network just kept the series on the air. Will General Hospital survive to see the 60th season for the 2022-23 network TV season? Could it possibly be cancelled mid-year? How will it do in the ratings? Stay tuned.
Debuting in 1963 on April 1st, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York. Actors appearing in the current season include Maurice Benard, Steve Burton, Marcus Coloma, Chad Duell, Michael Easton, Genie Francis, Nancy Lee Grahn, Rebecca Herbst, Roger Howarth, Finola Hughes, William Lipton, Katelyn MacMullen, Sofia Mattsson, Eden McCoy, Sydney Mikayla, Kelly Monaco, Ingo Rademacher, Wes Ramsey, Kirsten Storms, Josh Swickard, Donnell Turner, Cynthia Watros, Maura West, Laura Wright, and Dominic Zamprogna.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The 2020-21 season of General Hospital averaged a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 female demographic with 2.12 million total viewers.

Please don’t cancel General Hospital. My husband & I watch it faithfully everyday. We never miss an episode. It’s our favorite show!! We have followed GH for decades & would feel a huge void if it were taken off.
I used to watch all the ABC soaps & hated seeing them go, but GH was always my favorite & the only one my husband ever watched. So we’ve always been so happy & thankful that it’s still on. Please keep it going.
To all the naysayers, how about… turn the channel, and don’t ruin it for the rest of us.
Love General Hospital, if you would bring back Jason and get rid of Nina the show would be better.
I can’t watch General Hospital anymore it used to be my favorite soap but the writing sucks anymore. I can’t stand the constant line of evil people and the low quality of storylines. In a time where everybody is frustrated because we see so much bad news do you think all people want is negativity and ugliness. I absolutely hate the new character Yasmin and evil Nina. I’m sure Things will get lower you’ve lost Jason you’ve made Carly and Sonny at odds. Really, it’s just junk anymore
You are right, once they let go of steve buton i quite watching after 3. Bri.g0 years they shot themselves in the foot. Without steve I’m. not going to come back. Bring him back know
I don’t care to watch gh anymore. Sonny and Jason are the 2 main reasons I kept watching after Luke and Tracey retired. Now there is no Jason and no Sonny and no reason for me to watch. As far as I’m concerned you can cancel it tomorrow. If Maurice didn’t wanna play mob boss any longer then he should have retired because no one wants to see him reduced to a shell of a man not even half the man he once was. Do you people realize that most women today work probably before they are 18 and are not able to see this show til like later on Hulu or channels like that
In a world where most of us I believe could use some escape television, please do not take away General Hospital. I have been watching since a young girl alongside my mom and it is still the best daytime escape from reality for one precious hour. If TPTB have a heart at all, they will continue airing GH.

Tired of Sonny and Carly. They’ve been married 4 times since 1999. Hope we can finally put the Sonny and Carly chapter behind us. Plus Sonny goes better with Nina.

Please keep Sonny and Nina together. So over Sonny and Carly. Dante is cheating on his wife who is in a coma. Britt goes better with Austin.

I love GH, but do not like the woman playing Nina. She is too fake and whines and does not play the character well. Get rid of her

General Hospital is off of my list. When they decided to kill off Luke it was to only up the ratings. They can’t get them any other way than to use Anthony Geary. Or give Genie the last laugh. She is not the same character as she was years ago. She and Tony fit together and you were drawn in with their characters. Kevin and her are not the same in the romance field. Mr double personality. Jason has been gone a while now but apparently you are still watching.
Please continue airing GH. I have watched since high school, 1963. It has produced many a fine Hollywood star and the writing and acting are superb! It would be a big loss for ABC if it went off the air. I have even met a few of the actors in the Toluca Lake area and they are as fine and as kind as a fan could ask for and they are such talented people to boot.
