Grimm aired its series finale at the end of March, and recently executive producers David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf spoke with Deadline about a possible future for the NBC TV show.
The show follows Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), a homicide detective who fights mythological forces. The cast also includes Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bitsie Tulloch, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.
In the interview, Kouf said they’d be open to a Grimm spin-off but the series ending was meant to have closure:
We just leave all our options open. You just never know. … It seemed like a very fairytale ending to the show. We really wanted to close the book on it.”
When asked about the possible future for Nick and Juliette, Greenwalt said the ending they got was more realistic:
There are a lot of people who have a lot of opinions about that on both sides of that question. But I think that there was such a beautiful speech in the third to last episode in which Eve/Juliette says, “I wouldn’t go back if I could … We’ve all grown, we’re all different now than we were.” So I think that’s more realistic.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Grimm? Would you watch a spin-off?
I would watch a spinoff! I would actually love to have a two hour movie two or three times a year to show what’s up! I would love if a spinoff happens especially if It’s the character Trubel with Diana Kelly and the triplet’s! That would rock! It would be even more awesome if Trubel has children and they’re Grimms also!
We’d definitely watch more seasons of Grimm, or a reunion movie, or a miniseries, or a spinoff. More seasons would be ideal. Grimm had clever dialogue, great action sequences, and interesting supernatural tales. The fact that Grimm was on the air for 6 seasons was not a reason to cancel it – because its longevity is its strength. Grimm excelled at building upon strong characters who evolved in the most compelling ways over those 6 years. Viewers became more and more invested in the characters as time went on. The show never got stale, we never got bored. The characters,… Read more »
well said
I love this show was sad that it ended. It was an escape from reality one of the reasons I love sci-fi shows.

I hope to have more Grimm I love the whole cast David is the best
I love Grimm and would like to see it continue but would settle for a spinoff.
However I don’t have Netflix, so put it on TNT.
I watched the series faithfully but would not like to see it extended. I feel the writers made a grave mistake when they wrote Claire Ciffee’s pregnancy into the story. The ensuing relationship between her and Nick turned the show into a poorly developed soap opera. It ended the way it had to end after that debacle. It had promise for the first three and a half seasons.
I would love to see a spin off series of Grim, anything to do with the show would be great. We all love it here.
Would love more Grimm or a spinoff or both.
Yes please continue!!
Absolutely would love Grimm to continue!
I would like to see more Grimm.I would like to see Grimm come back,I know most who do want to watch this show are working at the time the show comes on.I want Grimm to be saved.
I would watch a spin off of Grimm…..but would rather have more seasons of it
I Loved Grimm since Season One & Really Believe there were many more stories to tell, it would have been Fun seeing Monroe & Rosalie raising their children. Plus seeing little Kelly with his powers…I would only watch a spinoff if it has All of the original Amazing characters. It should not have been cancelled in the first place. Thank you.
YES! SAME HERE! I fell in love with Grimm from the forst show and have all seasons on DVD except for the last one that I will be purchasing.
BRING GRIMM BACK! ALL OF THE CAST!
I would watch any continued seasons of Grimm or a spinn-off.
I have followed all episodes and miss it greatly.
