We’ve received a few emails from readers asking if Harry’s Law has been cancelled. After all, the last original episode of the Kathy Bates series aired on January 18th.
The legal drama has certainly been struggling in the ratings and is one of the lowest-rated shows on the network this season. But, while it’s hard to imagine that Harry’s Law will be renewed for a third season, the series hasn’t been cancelled just yet. It does have a lot of viewers, just not in the desired demographic unfortunately.
Harry’s Law is on hiatus and won’t return until March 11th, once the February sweeps period has finished. NBC ordered 22 episodes for the current season so there are 10 installments left to air.
Since it’s likely that the show won’t be back, hopefully the cast and crew won’t leave viewers with a cliffhanger in the last episode.
What do you think? Are you still watching Harry’s Law? Do you miss it when it’s not on?

Just to clarify….you MUST keep Harry’s Law on the air. It’s a very intelligent show with a great cast. While some of the format changes are iffy, my family, friends, and coworkers love it! I cannot believe it’s even struggling. I absolutely love Kathy Bates. That’s reason enough to keep it on! Please…….!!
One of the few good shows left. Get rid of the trash and reality shows!
Dear NBC- Why cancel Harry’s Law… are you stupid???? Give it a chance for heaven’s sake! One & a half seasons is hardly enough to give a program wider viewing. And just where on the planet do you gather your Nielsen ratings??? Why don’t you have any interest in giving your “intelligent” audience something to watch??? Harry’s Law has nothing but great actresses and actors in this thought provoking, intelligent and stirring series… Harriet Korn-Kathy Bates is smart, an excellent and powerful character, and so is Tommy Jefferson… sort of a “Denny Craig”, but different. Boston Legal, is also a… Read more »
Once again, the possibility is out there of cancelling a really fine TV show, when so much on now is worthless. Please pass the work to rally for this show!
I wish the people working on scheduling realized some of us who are faithful are asleep when Harry’s Law broadcasts on the east coast. I love the Saturday night 8 pm slot because it is a weekend. If I can’t stay up during the week I can catch up on Saturday… but the Saturday safety net rarely works for me. The weeks that I didn’t stay up, the episode doesn’t air… and on the weeks that I stayed up, it was rerunning on Saturday. Why don’t you run these episodes on the Internet so the viewers can keep up… the… Read more »
Harry’s Law started out with decent plots and then grew this year into dealing with tough real issues. It was a great show. The reason it lost ratings was it kept being moved around from night to night. It almost appeared as if like West Wing they were bringing up controversial issues so the network or whomever wants to have an excuse to get rid of the show. Please bring it back and leave it at a consistant time slot.
My husband & I feel Harry’s Law is one of the very best lawyer shows on TV. Why cancel some great acting and leave those reality shows with no acting still on! It just doesn’t make sense.
I would certainly be disappointed if Harry’s Law is cancelled. It is one
of the few shows I watch. I think it has a very good storyline and I
looked forward to seeing it. There are many other shows I would rather
have cancelled!
Kathy Bates is always interesting; and Tommy Jefferson is one of TV’s best characters, and they’ve kept me coming back because they are so good together, but sadly the show has little else going for it. I understand that opinions like this are subjective but I found the rest of the ensemble weak and boring. I compare them to the ensemble of a prior Kelly production, Ally McBeal — every one of them interesting. Roger Ebert has said that if you don’t care about the characters, then a movie will fail. Good writing and interesting issues cannot carry a show… Read more »
Why is a show, that offers so much and is a great source of fun for many of us, now, facing the possibility of cancellation? I am upset..you bet..There is so much junk on t.v. shows that requires very little talent. This show is, not only, intelligent, but fascinatingly interesting. I looked so forward to watching it as did many of my friends. Give us a break and bring this show back and put it in a a prime spot. Truly, some of the shows, in primetime, require very little thought and are very inexpensive to produce; this is obvious.… Read more »
I like Harry’s Law!
Harry’s Law is one of the few shows that I find worth watching. The story lines are thought provoking and I love Kathy Bates’s humorous character. Please keep it on the air.
If this show is cancelled I will be very disappointed because it is one of my favorites.
Harry’s Law is one of the best. Please do not take it away. It’s so much better than being offered the crappy reality shows. They are worthless to everyone except the idiots that want to be in them.
i don’t understand how the really good shows like harry’s law have the shortest runs. when nbc brings back garbbage like fear factor. as a veiwer i am offened, some of us enjoy television shows with intelligence and good acting. as it is i watch very little tv because it is so much shlock and trashy “reality tv” and if you’ve one once of brains that drivile will not satisfy your want for intellecual stimulation. believe it or not there are those of us out there look for this in television, and we are also consumers who buy the products your… Read more »
My wife and I look forward to watching Harrys Law, better to dump some no brainer reality shows with the canned laughter
