A gritty period drama that takes place in the 1860s, Hell on Wheels revolves around the institutionalized greed and corruption behind the building of America’s Transcontinental Railroad as loyalties are abandoned and the race between the Central Pacific and Union Pacific lines intensifies. The cast includes Anson Mount, Colm Meaney, Christopher Heyerdahl, Robin McLeavy, Jennifer Ferrin, Phil Burke, Tim Guinee, Dohn Norwood, Reg Rogers, Byron Mann, A. Zhou, Tzi Ma, and MacKenzie Porter.

OMGsh, this is one of the best TV series I’ve ever watched. I’m sad it doesn’t get the ratings it deserves…I might not be a help here as I just “discovered” it on netflix and binge watched the first 5 1/2 seasons in the last two weeks….could not stop! The storyline, acting, and historical connections….just superb all-around. Thank You!!!
It is difficult to find a good series, with good acting and a fantastic plot that grips you from episode to episode. I’m sorry to hear Hell on Wheels is being canceled. It reminds me of the ill fated series Firefly from Syfy. It had a huge fan base now considered a classic. Hell on Wheels is a classic for the Western genre. Disappointed in AMC.
I honestly know how they arrive at these figures! I have been watching the “Hell on Wheels” series, since it started. When I am not home, I DVR the show to watch later. No one has ever once contacted me about my opinion of this show. Once again, the people (the viewers) lose and the powers that be win. Disappointed once again. 🙁
It’s hard to find a good western show anymore. I think you should have put the show on in the fall season. Everybody would know when to look for it. A son Mount is a good actor. Don’t let this show go!
My husband and I watched every episode faithfully. It was authentic period piece. The stories were entertaining, suspenseful and well written. Cullen played an excellent leading man in which his character remained unique, calm and we do not understand why this show was cancelled!

They need to stop worrying so much about the numbers. True AMC fans loved it, like most things they produce. They’ll regret this. Right now the entire season seems to be about Cullen wrapping up loose ends and it’s too obvious

Move the time slot to Sundays @7 before Preacher & the ratings would go up.they should never have had Common killed off on the show either too good of a show tp cancel.
Me and my wife love this show. Im very upset they are canceling it. Even if season 6 was the final season they should let ir run through. With the early cancelling there will be a lot of story no one sees. This is horrible i love this show so much. I can’t believe it. Let it go to season 6
No wonder this series has failed. It’s lead character is nothing but a cheap imitation of Lee Van Cleef. Doesn’t anyone have an original thought in Hollywood? How pathetic!
Me and my family love Hell On Wheels!! We watch it over and over on Netflix, we can’t wait until the new episode comes on!! Yes we would definitely watch a season 6 and so on!! Please don’t let Hell On Wheels end at least this soon!! I don’t watch much tv and I absolutely love this show. There is not enough good shows left anymore.
