TV show description:
Melanie Moretti (Valerie Bertinelli) is a novelist and mother of college-age kids who’s trying to get over her recent divorce. Joy Scroggs (Jane Leeves) is a Beverly Hills beautician and is known as the “Eyebrow Queen of Hollywood,” helping stars like Oprah Winfrey and Ryan Seacrest. Her life starts to fall apart when she realizes she’s losing her clients to younger talents. Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick) is an aging actress whose soap opera has recently been cancelled and is now being asked to audition for roles like Megan Fox’s grandmother.
The three middle-age best friends are on their way to a dream vacation in Paris. Melanie hopes to find love there and check another item off their “bucket list.” The plane has to make an emergency landing in Cleveland and the three find there’s a lot to like there — men find them attractive, the cost of living is much lower, and it’s not centered around being young and skinny like Los Angeles.
They ultimately decide to stay and make a new life there. They rent a house that happens to come with a very feisty and acerbic caretaker named Elka Ostrovsky (Betty White).
Episode #128 — I Hate Goodbyes
After four arrests, two weddings and one baby, the series came to an end. Here’s an extended recap.

What do you think? Do you like the Hot in Cleveland TV show? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season?

Hot in Cleveland was an all star cast I will continue to watch their reruns just like “I Love Lucy” was a classic FOR 40 years. HIC was a modern comedy making us all laugh-off the inconveniences of modern day life’s mores. Great Great casting!!
And Right, please NO more Reality shows-I am not entertained by cooking, who gets the girl or dirty tricks roommates pull on one another to scratch their way to the top….BORING time wasters….No wonder we all play with our cell or google through the shows And their Almighty COMMERCIALS.
This is one of the best comedies ever, Betty White is still the funniest lady around, I will watch anything she does, what is up with TV Land canceling this great cast and very funny show??
I WISH TV LAND WOULD QUITE SHOWING THE NANNY ALL THE TIME AND RESUME HOT IN CLEVELAND AS IT HAS BEEN ON AFTER AND BETWEEN HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER AND THE NANNNY. HOT IS A VERY FUNNY SHOW AND A SUPER NICE CAST. ONE OF YOUR BEST SHOWS, EVEN THE RERUNS, WHICH ARE SO MANY, MAKE IT A JOY TO WATCH MANY TIMES OVER AGAIN ALL OF THEM, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAS AHPPENED ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY HAVE THE NANNY ON ALL THE TIME. VERY OLD, CORNY AND NOT ANY FUN TO WATCH TODAY.
Too many reruns lets let it go.
This Show, without a doubt, should STILL have an opportunity to be Renewed! TV LAND should’ve Never aired it on Wednesdays. That night belongs to ABC, HANDS DOWN. “HOT” tells us, no matter your age, WE WOMEN MATTER! Society places a “Shelf-life” on Women, while Men “become distinguished”. WHY?? I know about Demographics & Marketing. Did you know, while the City of Las Vegas is “TRYING” to appeal to a younger demographic, the Average age Tourists are 50+, AND, THEY SPEND THE MOST MONEY!! HOT IN CLEVELAND should be picked up by a MAJOR NETWORK, TBS or TNT! Airing on… Read more »
This makes me sad…. I so looked forward to Betty and the gals. I know Betty is getting up there in age, but I looked forward to every episode!
They won’t change their minds, it’s numbers, not minds, numbers. So the show is on at 9:00, buy a DVR and record it
Pitch it to the major networks since cable is not renewing.
jmho
Why do they always cancel the shows that give us such wonderful laughter and talent – I am so VERY tired of EXTREMELY boring reality tv and endless shows of violence & serial killers – can’t we please have shows like this that could actually make us all feel human, happy, joyous, and not afraid of a crime about to happen around every corner or worse be forced to watch unintelligent stupid ridiculous talentless reality crap! These are stars, real writers, excellent producers….please, please, don’t go away and please, please bring us more shows we can really enjoy!!!!
Sue, I totally agree with you. There’s about 3 shows left now that I like. When they take them off, the cable will be going with them. Since they only care about what the Neilsen box holders watch (reality crap) they won’t be getting our money anymore. Why pay for lame shows?
I wish it was going for just one more season. I’d like to see seven seasons. Maybe if they’d moved the stories along a little faster and indulged in some of the story arcs a little more seriously we’d still get a few more seasons. However, what the show lacked was what I loved about it. It felt like a situation comedy from the early days of TV. A stage play for television that was more aware of the fact that it was on TV. Simple stories. Low hanging fruit. But delivered with a skill that only the actresses so… Read more »
Hope they change there mind i enjoy this show so much its fun watching these four wonderful women actresses together its very refreshing and very entertering
The show should definitely continue! It is fabulous! I understand that Betty W has some health issues which makes me feel incredibly sad…I know that she would want the show to continue!
Wrap it up before Betty White, uh, wraps it up. :O
It’s hard to believe it’s cancelled cus of ratings. So if it’s not that, why, why, why? It doesn’t make sense, and since it not giving up a reason, it just makes me more mad that it taking it off the air.

Don’t cancel this show. I love tuning into it on Wednesday night.
