If you’ve been waiting for the return of FOX’s Human Target series, you’ll have to wait quite awhile longer.
When FOX cancelled Lone Star, they rescheduled the third season premiere of Lie to Me to take its place on Monday. Lie to Me was originally supposed to return on Wednesday, November 17th. To fill that timeslot, they’ve now delayed the return of Human Target.
After already being delayed a week, Human Target was supposed to return this Friday, October 1st, at 8pm. While its unfortunate that fans will have to wait another six weeks for the return of Christopher Chance (Mark Valley) and company, this may be advantageous for the show’s future.
The series performed pretty well in on Wednesday nights last season and Friday nights are understandably always tough to attract a decent-sized audience in the target demo.
Here’s the official press release from FOX…
HOT FROM FOX… “HUMAN TARGET” SEASON TWO PREMIERE MOVES TO WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 17, ON FOX
Season Two of FOX’s hit series HUMAN TARGET will premiere Wednesday, Nov. 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.Picking up from the heart-pounding first season cliffhanger, the new season of HUMAN TARGET kicks off with a bang as CHANCE (Mark Valley) and GUERRERO (Jackie Earle Haley) race to rescue their kidnapped associate, WINSTON (Chi McBride). Vowing to retire from the security business, Chance is lured back to work by billionaire philanthropist ILSA PUCCI (new series regular Indira Varma), who needs his protection after the mysterious murder of her husband. While on assignment, the team encounters AMES (new cast member Janet Montgomery), a beautiful, chameleon-like thief who has a past connection to Winston.
HUMAN TARGET returns to Wednesdays, where last season it ranked No. 1 in its 8:00-9:00 PM time period among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, Teens and Total Viewers.
Based on the DC Comics comic book and graphic novel, HUMAN TARGET is a full-throttle action drama centered on a unique personal security expert hired to shield those in danger from an imminent threat that cannot be solved through normal means of protection.
HUMAN TARGET is a production of Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Wonderland Sound and Vision, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Television. McG, Matthew Miller, Jonathan E. Steinberg, Brad Kern and Peter Johnson serve as executive producers. What do you think? Are you sorry the show’s been delayed? Do you think the new timeslot is a good thing or doesn’t matter?

And here I thought I had messed up the recording. At least I know I’m not going crazy or that my DVR messed up.
Good move too many other things to do on Fridays. Glad to wait and will extend into the season hopefully since it has been delayed twice. Love the show plenty of twists and turns in the plots and same for the action. Lie to Me is just as good too! FOX has had some great programming.
Glad they are not canceling Human Target at least, but delayed AGAIN!! Lie to Me is a great show also, but it was on all summer. I’ve been looking forward to Human Target coming back Oct 1st. Guess I’ll just be glad it’s still coming back, and enjoy more episodes of Lie to Me.
Human Target is must see TV for me. It was very disappointing to have its return delayed.
I’m so p.o.’d; I set up the DVR so I could run amok until showtime, and I’m greeted with a RERUN of ‘House’. Not even a rerun of ‘Target’!
Fox, you got to let me KNOW when we’re having substitutions – I thought my dish was having a Senior Moment (or I was).
Fox has shown in the past that they can be pretty brutal when withdrawing the programming. I hope this wasn’t an omen of things to come.
I’m addicted – I need a Jackie Earl fix, post haste.
i like human target but in this new time slot forget it. it’s criminal minds!!!!
Glad Human Target is returning in its old time slot. I watch it religiously and will be awaiting its return.
I can’t wait for Human Target to come back on!!! We absolutely loved it and have been waiting, impatiently, for its return! Wednesday – great move! Back to its original time slot. Perfect!
i’m really mad about it getting delayed AGAIN, and i think it would do better on friday nights, there is a lot of show that come on wendsday night, but very few that come on fridays, WE NEED A FRIDAY SHOW! something to look forward to all week, and to start of the weekend.
So Hell’s Kitchen goes back to an hour? That’s cool
it’s just Human Target – it’s fluff – who cares.
I don’t like it .I already have two shows I watch on Wednesdays at 8 while I only had Human Target on Friday
good move!!!
What ever they think is the best night to put it on fine, but why delay again though. That doesn’t make any sense. Why delay?? I 100% don’t understand what the point was to delay it the first time by a week. WTFE honestly. Better than them not bringing it back at all I guess.
Hate the wait, but at least it’s returning to its original timeslot.
