If you’ve been waiting for the return of FOX’s Human Target series, you’ll have to wait quite awhile longer.
When FOX cancelled Lone Star, they rescheduled the third season premiere of Lie to Me to take its place on Monday. Lie to Me was originally supposed to return on Wednesday, November 17th. To fill that timeslot, they’ve now delayed the return of Human Target.
After already being delayed a week, Human Target was supposed to return this Friday, October 1st, at 8pm. While its unfortunate that fans will have to wait another six weeks for the return of Christopher Chance (Mark Valley) and company, this may be advantageous for the show’s future.
The series performed pretty well in on Wednesday nights last season and Friday nights are understandably always tough to attract a decent-sized audience in the target demo.
Here’s the official press release from FOX…
HOT FROM FOX… “HUMAN TARGET” SEASON TWO PREMIERE MOVES TO WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 17, ON FOX
Season Two of FOX’s hit series HUMAN TARGET will premiere Wednesday, Nov. 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.Picking up from the heart-pounding first season cliffhanger, the new season of HUMAN TARGET kicks off with a bang as CHANCE (Mark Valley) and GUERRERO (Jackie Earle Haley) race to rescue their kidnapped associate, WINSTON (Chi McBride). Vowing to retire from the security business, Chance is lured back to work by billionaire philanthropist ILSA PUCCI (new series regular Indira Varma), who needs his protection after the mysterious murder of her husband. While on assignment, the team encounters AMES (new cast member Janet Montgomery), a beautiful, chameleon-like thief who has a past connection to Winston.
HUMAN TARGET returns to Wednesdays, where last season it ranked No. 1 in its 8:00-9:00 PM time period among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, Teens and Total Viewers.
Based on the DC Comics comic book and graphic novel, HUMAN TARGET is a full-throttle action drama centered on a unique personal security expert hired to shield those in danger from an imminent threat that cannot be solved through normal means of protection.
HUMAN TARGET is a production of Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Wonderland Sound and Vision, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Television. McG, Matthew Miller, Jonathan E. Steinberg, Brad Kern and Peter Johnson serve as executive producers. What do you think? Are you sorry the show’s been delayed? Do you think the new timeslot is a good thing or doesn’t matter?

I don’t want the show canceled – I want those two women canceled!! Why did they mess up the good chemistry>\??
I just found this show and really would hTE TO SEE IT CANCELLED.
I was relieved to learn that “Human Target” will be returning to TV Land. I don’t mind waiting a few more weeks. Here is hoping that Fox doesn’t change their minds again. This is a good program.
What a relief, so many of the really great shows are gone and all we have left if fluff!!!
Human Target is an intelligent and well thought out show that inspires loyalty! As long as its coming back I can wait on this great show!!!!
If for some reason they cancel, I am done with this network…after all who wants to give loyalty to a network that has to only be looking for a tax right off!!!
I’ll watch Christopher Chance kick butt any time. Bring him on…….
Just glad it will be coming back. Didn’t know about the delay, but continually couldn’t find it on TIVO. So now we know why. Looking forward to it!
I ,too, feel the loss of seeing another season of 24. And, in my opinion, Human Target is the best show since 24. I have been waiting and watching for its return and finally I now find out that it will not be on until November 17.\ I do not pretend to understand why these people put on a great show and then just let it drop off into space when they will, instead, leave a knee jerk show on whose purpose you never will understand or even begin to enjoy. I do not care what night Human Target is… Read more »
If you still had 24, you would have the two best shows on TV.
Human Target has been one of the most exciting shows on TV in years! Every epsisode is like watching a new movie. It’s big screen quality in a week night time slot.
I love Human Target! I prefer Friday night because there isn’t much else on, but Wednesday will be fine because I have a DVR. The actors are great and the episodes are very action-packed with compelling stories. Oh, one other thing — Mark Valley is a total hunk. Please don’t cancel this show!
Best new show on TV as far as I concerned…… cant wait for it to return !
Awesome! One of the best new shows in years! It sucks to have to wait longer, but at least it has a timeslot it deserves. Now if they can just keep The Good Guys alive as well…
Thanks for renewing the show.
I am thrilled that you have renewed this show! Wednesday is a much better time slot and will do much better. We love this show, so please do not delay it again or cancel it. It really is a good show!
You cancelled 24 and now you keep messing with Human Target. Why? These are great shows!! We will wait until November but it’s hard with all the other garbage on t.v. Please!! do not cancel.
