What’s This TV Show About?
An AMC sci-fi drama, Humans stars Gemma Chan, Ivanno Jeremiah, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Emily Berrington, Colin Morgan, and Ruth Bradley. Holly Earl, Ukweli Roach, Mark Bonnar, and Dino Fetscher join the Humans season three cast. The yarn unravels in a parallel present, where the latest must-have gadget for any home is a Synthetic. What happens though, when the “Synths” are imbued with consciousness and free will? The artificial intelligence series explores the possible consequences of blurring the lines between human and machine.

Telly’s Take
Will AMC cancel or renew Humans for season four? The ratings are way down (again) and AMC has moved it to 11:00 PM. It really seems like it will be cancelled — unless Channel 4 in the UK wants to keep it going. That would likely make it cheap enough for AMC to get on board. Clearly, the ratings aren’t incentive enough. I’ll keep a hungry eye out and update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free Humans cancellation or renewal alerts.

Please renew! I think the ratings may have gone down because of the great amount of time between seasons. People may forget about it, they may just watch something else and not keep track. I’ve just finished season 3, and it’s awesome.

Whomever reads this….please do not cancel “Humans”. It reflects the bigotry and the issue of humanity itself towards those that are different than ourselves. To cancel this show would be to turn one’s back on these all important issues. Thank you!
Humans, my favorite TV series hands down. Would love to see season 4 and can’t wait for the season 3 blue-ray.
I really like these series of Humans! What if out of those 353,000 viewers, 50,000 of them were willing to pay to see a season 4? I’d give $25 to see season 4! That would only be $1,250,000 more in their pockets but it might be enough for them to shoot season 4!
The underlying themes of diversity and acceptance or lack thereof just add to the potential scientific possibilities of the not too distant future. Humans needs a season 4!
The purpose of SciFi is to make you think. Or, deeper, to entertain in a thoughtful way. It asks the question, “What if…?” It’s really too bad we are being held captive to the marketing values of those who provide funding for this facet of enlightenment. There is so much more to this story line, it would easily fill at least another season (season/series/8 or so episodes). It even makes me wonder how close modern science fiction is to what might actually be going on, under the guise of speculation.
Crossing my fingers that a 4th season is in store for Humans!!!! I have loved this show from the beginning. I also love rewatching previous seasons on Amazon Prime.

I certainly hope it returns. As everyone else I’ve been waiting forever to hear. That’s the NEW way. They now take a year to a year and a half between seasons and jerk you around for 3/4 of that time. Not going to change but I can gripe.
I really enjoy watching this show. Excellent story line keeps you thinking. One of the few shows that is good sci-fi. Really would hate to see this show canceled.
In my area they have been showing the series at 11PM or 12AM. Not really giving it a chance except for those of us with DVR’s and the ability to search for the series. The story has been fine. It is still head and shoulders better than many other programs that are shown during 8-11PM.
Okay, a slump of late. But, this has all the ingredients for success in the long term. Not to mention the brilliance it has shown to date. Seriously… cast, plot, writing, and great production value give this vehicle all the parts needed to do the deal. BBC 4 needs to take this opportunity to show the world that quality matters in science fiction based programming. Leaving it as is would be a disgrace.
I like this show, it’s very entertaining and enjoyable to watch.
Consistantly excellent writing, acting, direction. Season 3 has been more poignant and thought provoking. This is probably the best show on television. It is a shame that more serious sci-fi fans have not discovered this gem.
While I agree it has had its moments, such as the creepy orange-eyed synths, this season has not been as engrossing as the previous two. Although it is an intelligent series I feel it needed to move up a gear, but it really only managed this in the finale. I have a feeling that this might be too late to save it.
The next season would prove to be ratings giant with all that has transpired in the final. Smart money would bet on one last season to wrap this up with some sense of reality.
