Following on the heels of last week’s cancellations of the Happy Hour sitcom and The Rich List game show, FOX has announced that another of its new shows is leaving the air.
Justice debuted on Wednesday, August 30th to high expectations. The network had been showing fast-paced promos of the Victor Garber series all summer long but it still failed to attract big numbers. The highly anticipated premiere was watched by only 8.6 million viewers.
Justice followed a diverse group of lawyers as they worked at a prestigious Los Angeles law firm. Each episode started at the beginning of a trial and followed it through until the verdict. Then viewers were shown, via flashbacks, what actually happened at the time of the crime.
Like many FOX series, Justice took a break during the World Series (after five episodes). When it returned, FOX began airing it on Monday nights, opposite NBC’s popular Heroes and replacing Vanished (which was moved to Friday nights). Three episodes have aired on Monday nights. The most recent episode drew only 4.2 million households, about half of lead-in Prison Break’s audience.
With that in mind, its no surprise that FOX has announced that the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced courtroom drama has been pulled from the schedule effective immediately. The network isn’t calling it a cancellation right now. The FOX website lists that the show will return on December 11th, but the word is that it will not return for very long or at all.
Eight episodes of Justice have aired thus far and production is expected continue on the rest of the 13 episodes of FOX’s order. There is no word as yet if the series or any individual episodes will be released on DVD or online via FOX’s website.
11/17/06 UPDATE: FOX has officially cancelled Vanished and Justice will instead return on Friday, December 1st. No new word on how long it will continue to air. 
I love this show. I figure out the ending to most crime shows before the end (very irritating to my husband)but this show kept me guessing.

BAD, BAD, BAD FOX!!! I can’t believe you would take off a awesome show like Justice and leave on some of dumbest shows ever!! Justice is one of the top 5 shows that you have ever aired!!! You need to get someone in charge that has some sense!!! BRING BACK JUSTICE!!!!!!!!!
Justice was by far one of the most enthralling shows on tv. The characters were beginning to develop especially with the last 3 episodes. The way they interacted with each other, how they took charge of each case, individually based on their own strengths was brilliant.

why would you take off such a good show as JUSTICE…??? FOX only has 2 shows I like HOUSE and JUSTICE.. My boyfriend and I absolutely love this show. It had smart writing and characters that you could relate to and identify with. I’m sorely disappointed that Fox cancelled this series after just a short time.
I thought i’d take the time to find out when JUSTICE was gonna be on next. When I clicked on this link I almost freaked out! What are you doing???? this is the best crime court drama on TV. Please please bring it back, I’m so disappointed right now.
I agree with all of you, can anyone please tell to the people at FOX that maybe they should take a look at the latinamerica audience!!! come on!! i know a bunch of people who love the show maybe they should bring it back….what are they waiting??
I have a one question and one comment. Why would FOX cancel a show as great as JUSTICE without giving it enough time to be discovered by more viewers. It’s kind of hard to follow a show that keeps getting it’s time slot moved and being pre-empted by one sporting event after another.

Yes I will also want to know what the heck is wrong with Justice ? This is one of the most dynamic shows ever, strong well put together and a wonderful cast awesome, SO what happened?? Are you going to try it again, as I told people about it I had five of my out of town friends watching it and sometimes we be three way watching it and they told their family and friends the too are disappointed !!!! I can’t believe Fox cancelled Justice, it was the best show on Fox.They keep boring, tired shows like Prison Break and cancel a great and very original show. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!
Justice is my favorite show right now. I can`t believe they would want to cancel it. I think it would be a big mistake. Just look at all these comments… I am not the only one in love with this show!
We want Justice!!! No Justice, no peace.!!! Put it back on after Prison Break on Monday night. It’s your fault FOX for moving it from Wednesday night to Friday night in the first place. Give us something to talk about….bring it back!!
Justice was one of the best shows on TV. They kept Stand-Off and cancelled Justice. And because of the constant changing of days and times, I missed the final episode. There really is no “justice” after all. Way to go Fox.
I absolutely LOVED this SHOW! and I am very UPSET to see it canceled! Who the heck makes these decisions anyway? and do they actually consider the audiences out there?…or do they just randomly do this without thought? *sigh*
