CBS is starting the new year off with some big news. Entertainment Weekly reports the network has ordered more episodes of freshman series Kevin Can Wait, Man with a Plan, and The Great Indoors.
Kevin Can Wait, which stars Kevin James as a newly retired police officer, will get two more episodes for a season one total of 24. Meanwhile, the Matt LeBlanc comedy Man with a Plan and the Joel McHale sitcom The Great Indoors have each received an order for three more episodes, bringing their season totals to the standard 22.
The episode increase is hardly a surprise. Kevin Can Wait is CBS‘ top-rated new comedy of the season, and is currently earning an average rating of 1.82 in the 18-49 demo and around 8.163 million viewers. Meanwhile, The Great Indoors has so far received an average rating of 1.57 in the 18-49 demo and around 7.661 million viewers. Man with a Plan is similarly performing well in the ratings. So far, season one is averaging a 1.30 rating in the 18-49 demo and 6.367 million viewers.
What do you think? Do you watch Kevin Can Wait, Man with a Plan, and/or The Great Indoors? Are you glad CBS has ordered more episodes?
I also watch both Kevin Can Wait and Man with a Plan. If I see Kevin is not coming on I may not continue to watch because that is how much I love this show! Leah has brought even more comedy to this already great sitcom and it has me centering my Monday nights around it. My husband and I won’t even go out to eat the Monday nights Kevin is coming on so we don’t miss any of it. Bests show in the Monday night line up!
I watch both Kevin Can Wait & Man with a Plan, both absolutely great shows.
Hope they both continue with more & more seasons…………
Very happy watcher!
Man with plan I can see. But Kevin can wait? Really!? What is the CBS network thinking these days? Oh yeah that’s right they have Steph Colbert late night running around running amok. Trash talking and looking ugly stupid. This network is so messed up. They have some good comedy shows but your late night shows in some of their comedy shows really stink!
Pretty funny. Our whole family enjoys watching.
