Is there a future for Kevin (Probably) Saves the World? Are you watching the ABC TV show? Do you think the network should change the timeslot for the low-rated series?
The comedy-drama, which currently airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, centers on Kevin Finn (Jason Ritter), a selfish and materialistic man who must commit acts of acts of kindness to save the world. The cast also includes JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Chloe East, J. August Richards, Dustin Ybarra, and India de Beaufort.
Since its October debut, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World has really struggled in the ratings. So far, season one is averaging a 0.72 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 3.029 million viewers, making it one of ABC’s lowest-rated series for the 2017-2018 season.
However, despite low ratings, the show seems to be popular with viewers. Kevin (Probably) Saves the World is currently one of the top-rated ABC shows in our viewer rankings. So what’s the problem?
Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT have been a trouble spot for ABC for several years. Many TV series have held the timeslot and have been cancelled after one short season. They including Combat Hospital, Killer Women, Of Kings and Prophets, Wicked City, Forever, Lucky 7, Detroit 1-8-7, and Mind Games.
Do think ABC should save Kevin (Probably) Saves the World by changing it to a better timeslot? When would you air it? Is it a better show than the ratings seem to indicate? Tell us what you think.
Good family friendly show. Please keep it going. I record it each week because 10 p.m. is past my bed time 🙂
This is an uplifting family show. It should air a couple hours earlier.
8pm any weekday would be better for ratings. Good family show.
Yes, it is such a positive and funny show that needs to be given a chance. Jason Ritter is outstanding and this show always makes me feel better about the world. 10 is a bit late and I always stay up to watch but 9 would be so much better- and hopefully attract many others. It’s a fabulous show- just needs to be seen!
I really like Kevin Saves The World–it has such likable characters, as well as a bunch of things to say about society (in a satirical, funny way) and it’s got such likable and fun characters, including Kevin himself, and it’s nice to see Jason Ritter in a star vehicle for a change. I also like the theme of a man who comes from dealing with his own issues to reaching out to others and helping them with their issues, too. I don’t understand why it’s low-rated, because it’s just plain fun to watch. Plus it’s actually funny, too.
Kevin (Probably) Saves the World should have a better timeslot – I think in the early Prime Time because it is among the few shows one can call, “Family Friendly,” and actually mean it. We watch it the day after it airs so we can see it On Demand when it works better for us. Jason Ritter is awesome in this show – serious and funny and irreverent. If they put his show in a better spot, this may be the vehicle to make him soar.
My wife and I enjoy the show. It is humorous, quietly optimistic, yet touching at the same time. I hope the network doesn’t axe it.
Our family loves Kevin (Probably) Saves the World.! It’s one our favorites this season. We have to watch it on demand though due to its late air time. It’s clean, funny and family friendly it should be on earlier.
It is a terrific series and deserves a much higher rating. I am a 76 year old and I love this show. It would be a crime if it does not get renewed for another season.
Our whole family loves this show. It should be on when more people will view it. Maybe it would help our society be more mindful of others.
I’d rather it was on at 9, but I DVR it anyway. I like Jason, the show is quirky, but I hope it’s saved for another season.
Deserves to be saved and watched by all!
Absolutely love this show. I’m in bed by 10pm, but I DVR it and watch it the following morning. I loved Forever too and that got cancelled. Was totally bummed. This show better not get cancelled!!
EVERY show should be tested in at least one other time slot before cancellation.
My husband and i really love this show! We look forward to it every week. Changing the time slot would definitely improve ratings. 10pm is too late. Plus, its a wholesome show that younger viewers can watch or as a family. Leave the late night spots open for more adult/risque shows.
10pm is good for me but I don’t think I’m the norm. I love this show!
