Here are the late night ratings for the Halloween editions of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, Nightline, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Last Call with Carson Daly.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday night (averages currently exclude seven markets, including some of the country’s biggest: New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, Baltimore, Hartford, Providence and Columbus):
* In Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, household results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 2.7/7; CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” 2.8/7; and ABC’s combo of “Nightline,” 3.1/8; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 2.0/6.
* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.7/4; “Late Show,” 0.7/3; “Nightline,” 0.9/4; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.8/5.
* At 12:35 a.m., “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (1.4/5 in metered-market households) tied CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” (1.4/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Late Night” (0.5/3 in 18-49) beat “Late Late Show” (0.4/3).
* At 1:35 a.m., “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Featuring a first-time appearance by Jimmy Kimmel’s idol, David Letterman, on Wednesday (10/31/12), ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” delivered its highest-rated telecast in Adults 18-49 (985,000) on any night since June – since 6/19/12. In fact, excluding June’s NBA-finals led broadcasts, Wednesday’s telecast was the show’s strongest among young adults in nearly 1 year – since 11/22/11.
· In addition, it was “JKL’s” most-watched Wednesday telecast in its 10-year history (2.355 million) and its top-rated on the night among Adults 18-49 in 5 years — since 10/24/07.

Glad to see Craig is holding his own VS Jimmy. Given how little CBS advertises the show it’s remarkable it has an audience at all. Craig’s like an alt rock band…you tend to find him through word of mouth then become a hardcore fan.
