TV show description:
This action drama series reimagines the movie franchise and follows a cop duo as they work a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles.
Grief-stricken after the loss of his young wife and unborn child, ex-Navy SEAL-turned-detective Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) moves to California to “start over” at the LAPD.
He’s paired up with Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans). He’s just coming back to the job after a near-fatal heart attack. Riggs’ penchant for diving headfirst into the line of fire immediately clashes with Murtaugh’s prudent, by-the-book technique.
When Captain Brooks Avery (Kevin Rahm) assigns them to their first case together, Riggs drags Murtaugh into a high-speed chase culminating inside the Long Beach Grand Prix and a seaport shootout with drug dealers. Despite his protests, the older cop feels more alive than he has in years.
Meanwhile, Riggs gets a glimpse of why Murtaugh is so determined to get home safely at the end of each day — he’s got a wife, Trish (Keesha Sharp), teenagers Roger Junior (Dante Brown) and Riana (Chandler Kinney), and a newborn baby.
Riggs’ life-on-the-edge attitude makes him a priority case for the department’s psychologist, Doctor Maureen “Mo” Cahill (Jordana Brewster).
Rounding out the precinct is Scorsese (Johnathan Fernandez), a pathologist with the LAPD who got his nickname after a stint in film school (which no one will let him forget).
By the time their first investigation ends, Riggs realizes he may have found something worth living for — a partner and friend, Murtaugh. And even Murtaugh figures this arrangement might just work out after all. If only Riggs doesn’t get them killed first.
Episode #55, “The Spy Who Loved Me”
When Cole is investigated by the FBI, Murtaugh is forced to question his loyalty to his own partner. Meanwhile, Cole works a case that puts Natalie’s fiancé, Andrew, into the crosshairs right before their wedding day.
First aired: February 26, 2019
What do you think? Do you like the Lethal Weapon TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on FOX?
One of my favorite shows.
This show SHOULD NOT be cancelled! In spite of the stupid crap with Murtaugh”s family, it’s still one of the better shows on netwotk TV.
It better be a dream. Lol
Renewed for another season.
This is BEST show on TV !!!!! Why would there be any question about renewing the show !!! If it isn’t it will be a extremely disappoint and mistake on FOX TV part !!!!
Renew!!!!
Omg I can’t believe fox haven’t renewed leathal weapon season 3 yet!! What r u waiting for fox ?? Make sure it’s got a good slot and keep to the same time . PLEASE RENEW I need riggs and murtough in my life ! Xx
my wife and I look forward to “LW” each week…we love all the cast, plot, & story line. PLEASE do not cancel this show. there are so many horrible lousey shows on TV to cancel—-this one is one of the greatest!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite shows and Clayne makes the show! Won’t be watching it anymore if Clayne is gone! He is the reason that Lethal Weapon is not another cookie-cutter cop show!
All I hear is a bunch of gossip with no real foundation. I read where Clayne fessed up to his screw up and apologized to fans and crew. I have heard his castmates have backed him up except Damon. Seems to me that it’s a bit strange to let Clayne direct an episode if he was wreaking havoc on set as is suggested. Perhaps he isnt the only one who needs to apologize for their bad behavior. Let me say this, I WILL NOT watch if they remove Clayne and especially if they replace him with a woman. Nope, won’t… Read more »
keep riggs, murtough is a whiner. drives me nuts
Love the show!!!! Shows how someone brought up in an abusive relationship can change into a more caring individual. With each show Riggs is becoming a better person.
Riggs makes the show I think he’s just taking the acting with him off the show it has to be hard to turn off crazy he is the best actor who plays a very hard part and my family LOVES him we want to see him EVOLVE KEEP THIS SHOW #wewillquitwhatchinganythingonthisnetwork. We Want Our Riggs!
If Riggs goes so does the show. He is the Show and we do not need another woman detective who saves her male partner from constant disaster.
I just read that they might drop Riggs and replace him with a woman. That’s it
for me brother. I won’t bother watching if they replace Clayne. He is Riggs….
