A&E KICKS OFF SUMMER WITH THE RETURN OF HIT DRAMA SERIES “LONGMIRE”
THIRD SEASON OF GRIPPING CONTEMPORARY CRIME THRILLER FROM WARNER HORIZON TELEVISION PREMIERES MONDAY, JUNE 2 AT 10 PM ET/PT
New York, NY – April 24, 2014 – A&E Network’s critically acclaimed hit series “Longmire” returns for a third season on Monday, June 2 at 10 PM ET/PT. The series stars Australian actor Robert Taylor as Walt Longmire, the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming, along with Katee Sackhoff, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bailey Chase, Cassidy Freeman and Adam Bartley.
“Longmire” continues as the network’s #1 original drama series of all time in total viewers with season two averaging 6 million, a record for any A&E drama season delivery (based on Live+7 viewing).
In season three of “Longmire,” Walt finds himself reeling from a series of devastating traumas. His best friend, Henry Standing Bear (Phillips), is going to prison on murder charges. Deputy Branch Connally (Chase) has been shot by a mysterious “white warrior,” and Vic Moretti (Sackhoff) is unsure if she has shaken a stalker from her past. Walt is forced to shoulder all of these burdens and try to find a way to set the world right again, but one person knows he can’t do this alone – his daughter, Cady (Freeman). She will fight in court to try and clear Henry’s name while Walt continues to unravel the dark, mysterious secrets of Absaroka County. The deeper Walt digs into all these mysteries, the closer he’ll get to uncovering the real bloody hand behind his wife’s murder.
In the season three premiere, Walt deals with the aftermath of Henry’s arrest and Branch’s shooting. The search for the shooter, however, is complicated by Branch’s insistence that it was someone known to be already dead.
“Longmire,” based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson, is produced by The Shephard/Robin Company in association with Warner Horizon Television.Greer Shephard (“The Closer,” “Nip/Tuck”), Michael M. Robin (“The Closer,” “Nip/Tuck”), Hunt Baldwin (“The Closer,” “Trust Me”) and John Coveny (“The Closer,” “Trust Me”) serve as executive producers.

What do you think? Do you plan on watching Longmire this summer?
Longmire is so different from the car chase, blast everyone in sight cop shows. The blending in of some native American customs gives it a special flavour too…good acting , great outdoor shots…please let it continue for many more episodes.

I AM EAGERLY AWAITING THE SEASON 4. I WENT OUT AND PURCHASED ALL THE BOOKS. I HAVE FOUND THE CHARACTERS OF THIS SERIES TO BE FAR MORE HUMAN THAN ON OTHER SHOWS….
Really enjoy the 3rd season, one of the best on TV. My only wish would be to have 14-15 shows next season.
Hi all Longmire fans and producers – the series is good watching and looking forward to season 3 opening here in NSW Australia. The cast are brilliant in their respective rolls.
Mike
Please do not take this great show off the air. I know the networks do not think us “old folks” are important, but we buy the products advertised on Longmire. If this show is taken off, the cable company can take me off also
Longmire is great show my vote is yes for season 4
Please. Season 3 was two short I hate to say this
But could have had 2 more shows and had few
Things happen Before the last show.
Bring Season 4
I would like to see this show stay on tv. It has great story lines and the characters are great. There is not a lot on tv I watch anymore but this one I watch every week. I would also like to see more episodes so the show and characters have a chance to grow.
Thanks
One of my all-time favorites. Wish each episode was longer.
Great program. Please renew for season 4.
LOVE this show … please renew for a 4th season. We watch it every week, and I personally wish they’d give it a longer run during the season. PLEASE RENEW!!!
We need a season 4 of Longmire!
Longmire best show on T.V. Needs more seasons and more than 10 shows a seasons. Only show to watch!
You are aiming at the wrong demographic. I saw a man leave his basketful of groceries at the store because the line was too long, and he had to get home for Longmire. This was no youngster, he was 70 if he was a day. I, too, am a fan. I am on the dark side of 60. Young people want zombie apocolipse. They didn’t grow up on westerns like we did. Don’t do to Longmire what Robert Redford did to Jim Chee. And if you don’t know about that you are too young to be watching Longmire anyway.
love it
This show needs more than ten shows to develop characters. 14 to 16 shows are needed. It is a very good show, but it can be better if allowed to grow. Great cast, but could use a few more guest stars to come to the show.
