TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Keep it … fantastic show
I agree, this is the best show on cable television. Please bring it back. My wife and I really enjoy watching Longmire.
DO NOT CANCEL! This is a smart, intelligent show dealing with real issues. The stories are well-written and get the viewer deeply involved. Please don’t cthis show!
GREAT SHOW
love the show
It is a quality show with a good following & aow budget. And the varity and quality of the shows have gone down hill with the fall & winter of 2014.
I love this show, consider it one of the few really good ones on television. I eagerly await its return on Netflicks or wherever.
My husband and I love this show we have all the DVD’s We were very up set about the cancellation. If this could be changed it would make our day Thank You
Loved longmire. My wife and I really liked watching together. Please bring back.
Longmire was the only show worth watching-5 days of duck dynasty is sick. in the days of were wolves/zombies and stupid reality show which are a farce about life in Alaska-trust me I lived there for 28 years. A once long time viewer now watching TNT.
I thought longmire was going to be on netflix. Has that changed. Is everyone trying to get it on a&e again. Or some other station. Canceling this show is all about money and the younger generation. these people that make these decisions don’t care. they wouldn’t know talent if it was shoved in there small minded headsI .’m very angry about this. This is the best show on the air. I wish there was more we could do than just write in here. I doubt these people even read what we want. BIG TIME BOYCOT.
Love it. Also watch companies which sponsors, buy time on same.
Wonderful show. So hope it’s picked up elsewhere
Has anyone bothered to ask if there is artistic merit to this production? Does it standup to any kind of critical merit review? For example, is there character development? Is there an evolving plot line. Is there thematic development? Is there dramatic subtlety? What is the level of the quality of the acting and direction? And, on a commercial basis, is there a marketable audience? There is one answer to all the critical questions lodged above: Yes, and it is “yes.” I understand that some marketing gurus have determined that too many older folks watch this production (because they enjoy… Read more »
Well expressed.
I loved watching the Bridge, Longmire and Hell on Wheels. Why is it they have the need to cancel the good ones. The stinkers they will move days times slots etc.until the show catches on with the public.
