TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
One of the best shows on Tv. Why,why why? This is the third show you have taken off the air too soon. A&E should change from A& E to R &B, Reality and Braindead.
Longmire is a blend of old time westerns & today’s police dramas , who else has that? I really enjoyed the series but the last bit of writing was weak, but not enough to cancel . The cast was strong and clearly devoted to their characters , otherwise I would not have been so involved. If the network heads can’t figure that out, lets hope another network does , say netflix….
Why does everything need to be a shallow reality show to leave it on TV. Longmire is a great show and made A&E APPEAR to different from the rest of the networks.
What the hell is wrong with A&E they have a great show on, then they do something dumb and cancelled it, leave Longmire on the air. I hope to goes to another network, then I don’t have to watch A&E EVER AGAIN. BRING BACK longmire,
A&E has done this twice to me… first cancelled Glades and now Longmire.
NO more A&E for me
If they don’t bring back Longmire I won’t be watching anything on A & E again. That was the dumbest move I have seen in years.
This is the second show that A&E has cancelled- The Glades, which left everyone hanging and now Longmire, what is wrong with those people???? Longmire needs to be renewed…
This show should NEVER have been cancelled and I hope some network out there will snap this awesome TV show up and renew it .
One of the dumbest network moves in years. A+e is dead to me. The series finale was one
Of the all Time best. Let’s hope USA has some good sense and picks it up.
Please please bring back the longmire show. We love it!!!!!!
Great show A&E is crazy, one of the best shows they had. I hope someone else pickes it up. I’m done watching A&E!
Cannot believe this is cancelled. It’s a real bummer! Bring it back.
I am furious A&E have cancelled such a great show …longmire. I do not know what idiots working there are thinking. It might have made sense had it had low ratings bur that isn’t the case here. Idiotic people.
Best show ever!,, just because viewing audience was’t young enough? How bogus is that? And I might say, discriminatory to me! Please someone pick them up!
I agree with LINDA, we should STOP watching A&E, all 6.5 million of us. THAT would really hurt A&E, maybe they would come to there sense. And bring Longmire back. Yes the older generation pays pays ALL, AND I DO MEAN ALL OF THE BILLS. So you see A&E if us older generation get mad enough, we not only can stop watching your A&E shows,we can also stop the younger generation from watching your shows. you can”t see how, LISTEN-UP FOLKS you don’t have to have cable/satelite turned off, just block the shows on A&E. And if all us Longmire… Read more »
