TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Not just older people watch this show. How in the world do they know how old we all are. I never gave my age. I’m middle-aged, and love and watch this show faithfully.I have many friends my age that watch this show. The problem is the majority of people who tweet and do facebook, ect are young people. Think about it.The shows american idol and the x-factor fans would’nt vote in the best and most talented, but the one they thought was cute, and ect. Middle-aged and seniors start writing in for renewal on this show. You know teenyboppers won’t.… Read more »
Should not have been canceled!
I think that Longmire should not be cancelled till after we find out what happen to branch, and how killed is wife and why, WHY iLIKE THIS SHOW IT FOR MY AGE AND OLDER NOT LIKE THESE TEEN SHOWS, REALTY SHOWS, AND ALL THESE DARN COMDEY
BRING IT BACK FOR US OLDER PEOPLE
We loved this show!! We have watched the first season 4 times ,and still love the episodes. Bring it back and remove the Walburgers!!!!
Just goes to show nobody cares what older people want. I was upset about The Glades also when they cancelled that. Who wants to watch reality shows, cooking shows, talk shows all the time? I’m amazed The Good Wife has lasted as long as it has because of football going long. Instead of joining a program in progress, we have to wait til 60 Minutes airs in full length, etc. Hopefully another station will pick it up.
I quit watching TV because there isn’t anything worth watching. I made a point to watch this and I enjoyed it. This is a big loss to many.
We would like to know first of all WHO was the World’s BIGGEST IDIOT that decided this show should be cancelled?? With ratings this show had, who on earth would cancel this show? Other low rated shows would die to have these numbers. This is a wonderful show, and one that the whole family can watch and enjoy. Who in their right mind thinks that the only ones to watch tv are in the 18-45 age range? And, how do they know that those people in that range are the ones not watching? We are not in that age range,… Read more »
