FOX is sticking with Lucifer. Today, the network announced they’ve renewed the TV show for a third season.
Based on the DC Comics character, the drama follows Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) as he leaves his throne in Hell to live in Los Angeles. The cast also includes Lauren German, D.B. Woodside, Tricia Helfer, Rachael Harris, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Aimee Garcia, and Scarlett Estevez.
Lucifer is currently in the middle of its second season on FOX. So far, the season is earning an average rating of 1.10 in the 18-49 demo and 3.825 million viewers. The numbers are considerably lower than season one’s average rating of 1.47 in the 18-49 demo and 4.56 million total viewers. However, despite the low ratings, the network seems to support the series and its creative team. FOX has ordered 22 episodes for season three.
Season two of Lucifer returns on May 1st.

We’d also like to thank our partners Warner Bros. for their commitment to this show and we look forward to seeing where this wildly innovative series takes us in Season Three.”
Delivering an average Multi-Platform audience of eight million viewers, LUCIFER stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Rachael Harris, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer and Scarlett Estevez. The series is based upon the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo, from DC Entertainment.

This show is one of the best on Fox. Lucifer is serious with a bit of fun. We all have hidden desires and faults, but Lucifer shows us we are all the same in the end.

Absolutely love Lucifer. I record it & save all episodes to watch multiple times. I am a Christian in the over 49 category and I even have friends who come over for “Lucifer binge evenings. The characters are well developed & I love how he shows people’s true desires & how they are seldom what you would imagine. Was so excited for this weeks return!! And it definitely did not disappoint.
excellent series. watch every episode. please keep on with the series…this is one of my favorite programs of the day.
Lucifer is an excellent series. i havent missed a single episode and intend on watching for as long as it is aired. Then i will watch the show all over again from the beginning if it is cancelled at some point.
A good move. I like the show a lot.
I absolutely love this show!! It has drawn me in from the first episode and just keeps getting better. While I am of Christian faith, I understand that this is PURELY fiction and have no qualms watching it. The character depth and development is pretty astounding for a television show. The characters are all very 3 dimensional and the casting and acting is spot on. Ellis as Lucifer, is charming, charismatic and simply mesmerizing. The show alternately delivers comedy, drama, adventure and romance. For those afraid to watch because they fear the subject matter, this is no ordinary Devil show… Read more »
