CBS has a new MacGyver. Deadline reports Lucas Till will play the lead role in CBS’ upcoming reboot series.
Richard Dean Anderson played the original MacGyver from 1985 to 1992.
From writer Paul Downs Colaizzo and Brett Mahoney, the new MacGyver “prequel” will feature a 25-year-old Angus MacGyver (Till), an Army vet and bomb technician who was captured by the enemy. Till joins new cast members George Eads and Joshua Boone.
No word yet on when the reboot will premiere.
