Magnum PI has been cancelled for a second time, and members of the cast and writers for the NBC drama are speaking out.
The network saved the series and produced one more season of 20 episodes following its cancellation by CBS last year. The fifth season is being split across two broadcast years and the final 10 episodes are expected to air in early 2024.
Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Amy Hill, and Tim Kang star in the reboot of the popular 1980s series, which follows Thomas Magnum and his team investigating crimes in Hawaii.

I am extremely disappointed that NBC are dropping this show after only 20 episodes There are so very few shows that are worth watching on regular channels as many shows are of the so-called reality nature and I wouldn’t give them the time of day Please somebody pick this show up and let it live

I agree with Betty 100%. The show had everything police work, great cast, some comedy and the cast seemed to gel extremely well. NBC should bring it back or another channel should pick up the show. Please no more terrible comedy shows.
It makes me a little mad but mostly upset that NBC is not going to renew Magnum PI. I loved that show. It brought not only mystery, but love and romance and a bit of comedy to the show. And the cast was super great. So WHY would you want to take that away from your viewers. I can’t stand these reality shows that are on. I am really going to miss the show and all of the cast members. I love you all and good luck in whatever you do now!
Don’t understand nbc. They make me sad. Cancel a great show for what? Another reality show? I’m disappointed
We ate very upset Magnum is cancelled. We love the show and all the characters. In this time of violence and ugliness everywhere Magnum is always a breath of positive fresh air. We are very disappointed and question the lack of wisdom of whoever decided to cancel it. They’ll probably put their energy into an ugly violent program.in place of Magnum just to add to the depression all around us.
Please NBC reconsider. Magnum was a great show. This show had something for everyone. (romance, mystery,and comedy))

This is an absolutely amazing show. The stories are so well written and the cast is superb. There are so, so many story lines that they could write, it needs to be on for several more years. Shame on NBC, hope some other station picks it up.
I’am disappointed that the show is ending . I love all the cast members and enjoyed every episode. Action packed with great story lines and a incredible cast that fit together And I loved that Magnum and Juliet became a couple . Can’t wait for the following episodes. Thank you for entertaining me all these years
Seriously your Canceling Magnum PI, you can’t !! I love this show and looked forward to watching it every week. Please dont cancel an excellant show with great actors and story lines. I’m getting tired of getting attached to a series and they get canceled. It makes me just want to start watching movies only cuz at least they dont get canceled. Please reconsider bring Magnum PI back and not canceling them. I’m sick to my stomach and so disappointed!!
So sad to see such an enjoyable show with such a likable cast get cancelled. There are so many other shows still on the air that are terrible. It makes no sense.

Absolutely. My wife and myself love the show , the characters and their storylines. Disappointed but not unexpected.
This show was not even given a chance. They show ten, hold ten, promise two seasons, 5 and 6 and then cancel without given us 6, but the other half of 5 left dangling. Yet they keep the same repetitive shows that you can tell ending after first line. And, three in a row! Give me a break, no imagination. Magnum OI is in a class of its own and deserves season 6,7,8,9, 10, etc until actors say enough. I am disgusted with networks.
That is why I don’t watch network shows anymore. Magnum was the only progrsm on NBC that I watch. You can catch reruns of Magnum PI on Saturday Afternoons at 05:00 PST on the CW.
I am so disappointed in both CBS and now NBC too for canceling this excellent, well-acted, well-scripted, interesting and entertaining series. Don’t we have enough trashy woke and reality shows, yuck?
