The case is closed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a settlement has been reached between Being Mary Jane star Gabrielle Union and BET.
The series, which debuts it fourth season on January 10th, follows the life and career of an Atlanta-based TV news anchor. The cast also includes Lisa Vidal, Margaret Avery, and Richard Brooks.
Earlier this year, Union filed a lawsuit against BET, alleging the network was trying to lower her pay and extend her contract when they decided to combine seasons four and five. The details of the settlement have not been released, but BET did release a statement:
BET Networks is pleased to announce that they have reached an amicable agreement with Gabrielle Union and look forward to sharing the new season of Being Mary Jane with its loyal fans beginning January 10, 2017.”
