Showtime is looking at new series for 2016, and they have ordered their first. Mating, which is a working title for the series, is a new series from Jason Katims, the man behind Friday Night Lights and Parenthood.
Showtime has ordered this series contingent on casting for season one. Deadline revealed the plot of this series in its report. Check that out below.
“Mating explores modern dating and relationships, with each season chronicling a different protagonist’s journey. The first season-long arc will center on a recently divorced guy who tries to evolve and connect one date at a time. Search is currently underway for the lead, whose casting the pilot order is contingent on.”
This is not the first time this series has popped up. It was first looked at by Showtime in 2014, but the project didn’t move forward at that time.
