Could How I Met Your Mother be coming back? Recently, FOX TV chairman Dana Walden mentioned a possible reunion for the CBS sitcom, Deadline reports.
Earlier, we reported This Is Us writers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger are developing a new spin-off to the long-running comedy, which ended in 2014. A previous attempt, How I Met Your Dad, was written by series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas but it never made it past the pilot stage.
During this week’s upfronts presentations, Walden said she hopes for a How I Met Your Mother reunion in the future:
I hope we will have an opportunity to revisit these characters and tell these stories if (the creators and stars) have the desire to do it. It’s a beloved show that still continues to be popular all over the world.”
The sitcom, which was produced by 20th Century FOX TV, starred Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders, and Alyson Hannigan. Since most of the cast is currently involved in other projects, it seems a reunion may have to wait.
What do you think? Are you a fan of How I Met Your Mother? Do you want a reunion?
I would love a reunion this is my favorite show ever! As long as bays and Thomas are in it should be great
The ending was just not good enough for the rest of the series. They got it wrong after all those frustrating episodes the viewer is given about 2 minutes to come to a happy conclusion for Robin and Ted
I think it was visited enough… so let’s NOT REVISIT it. It wasn’t that great a show to begin with.
After all those years, Ted finally finds the mother. Then they killed her. That was unforgivable. Now I can’t even watch the reruns.
I used to love the show but the way they ended it has forever taken away any interest I have in the franchise.
We’re still waiting for “How I Met Your Father” to be made.
