The latest medical drama on CBS is going the way of Three Rivers and NBC’s Mercy and Trauma. Miami Medical has been cancelled after one season on the air. However, there is some good news.
Miami Medical follows the exciting lives of a group of talented surgeons who work at one of the best trauma centers in the country. The Friday night drama features Lana Parrilla , Jeremy Northam, Omar Gooding, Mike Vogel, and Elisabeth Harnois.
The CBS medical series got off to a poor start on April 2nd with a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.59 million viewers. In week two, the numbers dropped to a 1.4 rating in the demo and 7.1 million viewers. Viewership has continued to tumble and thus far, the season has averaged a disappointing 1.3 rating in the demo and 6.7 million viewers.
To put these figures in perspective, Numb3rs’ season had better numbers — an average of a 1.8 rating and 8.27 million — and was ultimately cancelled.

And now, like so many of the other medical dramas from this season, Miami Medical has been cancelled. There won’t be a second season.
On the positive side, the show was scheduled to finish its run tonight, leaving five of its 13 episodes unaired. But now, CBS has added some additional airdates.
Next Friday’s will be a repeat of the pilot episode. Then, original episodes will return on June 4th, paired with new installments of Flashpoint. The last episode of Miami Medical is expected to air on July 2nd.

WHAT A DAMN JOKE.CBS sucks now there is no way this show should have been cancelled at all.CBS is taken all the good shows and putting on crap.This show and Flash point need to be picked up from another network there worth it.I’m so done with CBS the only think I will watch on there is NFL football and nothing else till they bring these shows back.Who ever is running there series tv program needs to be fired right away.We need to do something just like how SouthLand got picked up from TNT.We cant and wont stand for this.
I can’t believe it was cancelled. You leave crap like Big Brother and how I met your mother. I like the CSI shows but seen one seen them all, just different cities. Miami Medical was very good and unlike all the the rediculous “reality” programs. It showed some good quality medical information with some fun and entertaining information.
Maybe if you had given it some time the rating would have come up. You’ve disappointed many. THANKS
I cannot believe it was cancelled! It is one of my favorites! Right up there with CSI shows. I only get one station on my television, and I love medical shows. Reality shows otherwise are a pain to watch, I could really care less. But this was one of those up my alley so to speak. I refuse to watch Grey’s Anatomy, because I don’t like soap operas, and that is exactly what that is, just at night. I can not believe you are taking Miami Medical off the air, it is one of the best medical shows to be on TV in a long time. All the actors were great and so was the story lines.
The stories were really different than all other one. Please someone pick it up.
My wife and I love the show Miami Medical, but like so many before us have already said you take off the good shows and keep ones that shouldnt be on for the most part. I understand that is a business, but you did not even give it a chance. Here is my theory going forward. CBS is going to lose thousands of viewers if this keeps up. Miami Medical wasn’t given a fair shot, Friday nights are terrible nights to try a new show especially at 10pm, I happen to be flipping through the channels and found this show and LOVED it!!!!
they should have gave this show more credit because this is one of those Medical Shows that i actually liked to see and i been watching the season or the 13 episodes on replay because they really are good CBS needs to rethink about cancelling other shows they are that are far worst then this. personally give this an earlier time and it will just catch on because it really is great.

As usual, all the good shows are being cancelled. Trauma and Miami Medical are great shows but it seems like all the stations want to air is reality shows, which I NEVER watch.
Bring back Miami Medical.
It was so disappointing to hear that Miami Medical was cancelled, it was one thing I could look forward to coming home to and watching on a Friday night by myself or with family. It’s a tragedy that other shows that should be cancelled after years , of dragging on. I just don’t think they got the right spot ! It is very sad to hear to Miami Medical has been cancelled. They didn’t even give it a fair chance. It should have been on on a better day. Maybe a Monday or Tuesday night. Friday nights are tough, people are out and are using there tibia or dvr’s. I think alot of people were taping it and watching it later. I am very sad now. No more Miami Medical. 🙁

I cannot believe this show was cancelled! I absolutely loved the show. ER was on TV forever, and Miami Medical is far superior. As has already been said, you take the good shows off TV and leave on the stupid ones. Bring back Miami Medical, PLEASE!!!
