Becca Winstone’s chase is over. ABC has cancelled Missing, their Thursday night TV series, after one season and 10 episodes.
Starring Ashley Judd, Missing follows a former CIA Agent turned single mom as she searches for her missing son in Europe. The action show also stars Adriano Giannini, Nick Eversman, Cliff Curtis, Tereza Voriskova, and Sean Bean.
Missing got off to a disappointing start on March 15th, registering a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.60 million viewers. It was in third place for the demo and second place in total viewership.
In week two, the numbers took a significant drop, to a 1.6 rating with 8.81 million. Over the next several weeks, Missing fell lower and lower. The most recent episode hit a new low with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.37 million total viewers.

Overall, Missing’s been averaging a 1.5 rating with 7.70 million viewers. If they had more episodes in the season, those averages would surely keep sinking lower.
On our ABC Ratings Report Card, which measures the relative demo success of TV shows on the network, Missing has a “D-” for a grade. Of the 22 scripted shows on the network this season, Missing ranks 21st — just above the already-cancelled Charlie’s Angels remake.
With low ratings and steep declines, it’s no wonder that ABC decided not to renew Missing for a second season.
The series finale airs next Thursday and will hopefully include enough closure to satisfy the viewers that stuck with it.

Bring back Missing!
Missing was the best show! I’m so sad it wasn’t renewed. Maybe it could be revived on a cable network.
My husband & I loved this show! We scheduled our DVR to record it regularly. It was such a fast paced, heart palpitating(mine every week), exciting, edge of your seat kind of show! Very, very, very disappointed:-( …..Plus my across the pond cousin played Violet, who I thought was Great!!!!! So sorry to see this end.
I loved it..I didn’t watched it in tv but in the dvd..I watched whole season in three days..I wish New season with new story with new crew of actresses and actoros..

The one drama show with an intriguing plot full of twists and turns, a strong and smart female lead, which required the viewer to think as well as pay attention was unfortunately doomed to fail. Face it . . . all of us with a brain and not in the demographic of under 30 are not who the shows are targeting. i love this show. i made sure my dvr recorded every episode. I am very sad that it wont be coming back. My kids watched it with me and loved it. if u ask me there are other shows on abc that can go.
How can you leave a show hanging. That’s not fair!! I loved this show Ashley was awesome. Please bring this show back. I rather watch a show that puts me on the edge of my seat then to watch reality TV.
This is Bart all the way from Amsterdam – Holland. Man how could you cancel such a fast pace exiting, very professional serie.. My whole family loves it…! We recon its the best series for a while…!! You better cancel all those American Idol **** and all other talent contests. Only the brainless youth watch that kinda stuff.. Please please please bring back ‘Missing’ for more seasons to come…!! I loved “MISSING” it was a very amazing show n like a few other amazing fav shows it was canceled… I understand that the shows need lots of viewers in order to stay alive but there’s alot of people that would love to watch them but they outer work late or they be too tired from working all day or they got small children they have to get settled in before they even get to sit down to get a piece of serenity u know ? I am so disappointed “Missing” has been canceled. Why did you do this? You keep these “raunchy” series on, but not good ones like “Missing”. Shame on you!

I loved missing!! It was so good and they had to cancel it. Ashled judd is amazing and I thought it was cool to see her in a TV show and not just a movie…
SUCH A GOOD SHOW. MY HUSBAND AND I REALLY ENJOYED IT. TOO BAD THEY HAVE TO TAKE THE GOOD ONES OFF THE AIR AND LEAVE THE BAD ONES ON. I AGREE WITH MANY OF THE COMMENTS ABOVE. IT WAS REALLY A DUMB MOVE.
