Nashville will air an all-new episode on ABC later tonight, but fans know the end is near. The network cancelled the series last week, but there is still hope. With the people behind the series actively looking for a new home, it is possible that the series could return for a fifth season.
However, Connie Britton has already shared a message with her fans about the cancellation of the series on social media. She shared the following message after the news broke, according to TV Line:
“To the amazing friends and family who are Nashville, to the cast and crew, and most of all to the fans…I’d just like to say it’s been my honor to be a part of this world, to live in it and breathe it in and try to replicate it. Sometimes we were more successful than others. But the place of Nashville in my heart is deep and permanent. I am grateful for the hard work and faith of so many who dedicated themselves to creating and supporting this show. And I am forever changed for the better. Thanks for the music.”
According to TV Guide, the actress also spoke about the cancellation of the series on a talk show appearance earlier this week. Nashville has been a big part of her life. She has raised her adopted son there since 2011. She said the following:
“I’ll talk to my Nashville friends, and they’re all devastated. It’s a real bummer also for the town too. I’m going to miss those people so much. I’m so upset, then I talk to my friends in L.A., and they’re like, ‘We’re so happy you’re coming home.’ So I’m just like, I don’t know what I feel! [My son is] 5, and we’ve been doing the show there for four years, so it’s a big deal. It’s over. The end of an era. I think he’s going to just ditch me now because he’s like, ‘I’m staying in Nashville now. These people are cool. I’m learning how to play the drums. See you later.'”

OMG – i just heard the news – this is awful – i only watch three shows and Good Wife ended so Nashville is all I have left! Please some network save this show! It is awesome! Everyone I know watches it! THIS MUST BE SAVED!!!!
Please understand that we are heartbroken. There are so very few shows that capture our attention to the point that it has engulfed our lives for the last four years. I am an avid die-hard fan of Nashville and I am not happy at all with this decision. If the show has to end, give us the courtesy of giving us one more season to come to terms with our loss and give an appropriate amount of time to grieve. Even better, SAVE OUR SHOW – NASHVILLE FOREVER!!!! DON’T TAKE AWAY MY NASHVILLE FAMILY!!!
Nashville is my favorite show and the only reason I ever even watched ABC. Such great talent and music and story lines. Please keep it going, one way or another!

Yes let’s keep Nashville going on another network. It’s one of the best shows. I’m gonna cry at the end.There are so many talented actors and singers on the show. And the great guest stars. I’m am really going to miss this show.

Please, please pick this show up! The actors/actresses are amazing. Love the storyline it brings and most of all the music! Amazing talent and I will own every sound track. It’s a real shame this show will not continue on.

Can’t believe it! Why would they cancel, Nashville is amazing. Hopefully it gets picked up, there’s so many stories to continue, and great songs to be heard.
Very disappointed! It’s the only show I continued to watch this season. All of the new “reality” shows are taking over the airwaves and it’s ridiculous. Nashville has an amazing cast of pure talent and it’s ashame to see it go.
Nashville is the kind of show that we need on Tv. It developed characters which we can all connect with snd enjoy getting to know. There are too many unresolved things going on. Madura future. Avert and killers future together. Wills next step. Gunner and Scarlett’s relationship. Deacon and Ryan’s? Find another network maybe the country music station. We have fallen in love with Nashville the city the music the show. Bring it back pretty please.
I am so disappointed in the Network cancelling this wonderful show. They don’t seem to care about all the fans of this show because GREED gets in the way. I hope a more respectable network picks it back up.
