Nashville wrapped its run with its series finale on ABC this week, but Lionsgate TV has not given up on the cancelled drama. In fact, Lionsgate is promising loyal fans of the series that they will see a fifth season – even if it isn’t on ABC.
Deadline reported that the Lionsgate is still fighting to find a new home for the series, and that was made clear with a tweet sent out last night.
#Nashies What a cliffhanger! But we won’t leave you hanging. There’s more story to be told. #BringBackNashville

In addition to the tweet sent out by Lionsgate TV, the studio spoke about the Nashville situation in a call with the press on Thursday morning. Variety reported that four or five outlets have expressed interest in picking up Nashville for season five.
The creator behind the series, Callie Khouri, still wants more time too. She said the following, according to Deadline:
“Nashville fans are the absolute best, and support for the #BringBackNashville campaign has been amazing. We are so grateful for our extremely loyal following. We have stories left to tell and songs left to sing.”
Fans have been fighting to have the series saved on social media. A petition has also seen over 100,000 signatures.
Last night’s finale did leave the door open with a cliffhanger while wrapping up some of the other stories on the series. Fans will have to wait and see if another network or service decides to pick up Nashville.

Mom & daughter time every Wed night watching Nashville. Will totally miss the show and the enjoyment we’ve shared together. Also hope the cast will extend their tour and head to Cleveland!
By far the best series I’ve every watched. Top quality acting, musical talent and songs. I check regularly to see the status. If u can’t brink it back I’ll probably quit watching cable tv.
I don’t watch very many TV shows, but I record (usually working) and watch Nashville faithfully. I love it! ABC always cancels the shows I like. I’m not starting another with them. Please bring back Nashville on another network.
I honestly love this show.i really want to see what happens with Avery and Juliette,if she’s still alive ,and what’s going to happen with Scarlett and Gunnar .since the beginning I’ve been in love with Deacon and Rayna’s relationship.all I’m saying is that I’m not ready to give up Nashville, and I’m not just speaking for myself #BringBackNashville please find a home for Nashville please, which ever network that gets this fantastic show will be my hero 🙂
I love the series. And I love the happy endings. There’s just not enough happy endings in this world today. Android the songs in the stories that are being told. But at the same time The stories touch on real life and real situations. Bring back Nashville for season five
I enjoy the drama of the Nashville show and would do anything to see that a 5th happen
This is by far the best show on TV. It’s smart, intelligent and showcases amazing talent in acting, song writing and script. Miles ahead and better than these other so call series. The rest are just junky shows on tv.
Absolutely!
Yes please!!!!!
One of the best shows on TV. ABC has a lousy lineup and this was one of only two shows I watched. All the good shows are now only on NBC.
Absolutely! This is an awesome series.
