Nashville wrapped its run with its series finale on ABC this week, but Lionsgate TV has not given up on the cancelled drama. In fact, Lionsgate is promising loyal fans of the series that they will see a fifth season – even if it isn’t on ABC.
Deadline reported that the Lionsgate is still fighting to find a new home for the series, and that was made clear with a tweet sent out last night.
#Nashies What a cliffhanger! But we won’t leave you hanging. There’s more story to be told. #BringBackNashville

In addition to the tweet sent out by Lionsgate TV, the studio spoke about the Nashville situation in a call with the press on Thursday morning. Variety reported that four or five outlets have expressed interest in picking up Nashville for season five.
The creator behind the series, Callie Khouri, still wants more time too. She said the following, according to Deadline:
“Nashville fans are the absolute best, and support for the #BringBackNashville campaign has been amazing. We are so grateful for our extremely loyal following. We have stories left to tell and songs left to sing.”
Fans have been fighting to have the series saved on social media. A petition has also seen over 100,000 signatures.
Last night’s finale did leave the door open with a cliffhanger while wrapping up some of the other stories on the series. Fans will have to wait and see if another network or service decides to pick up Nashville.

There is no other show out right now like this one. Reality TV and CSI are the norm, this show is unique and exposes us to talented artists and fresh music with a background to keep your ears wanting more. Please don’t cancel the show. Nashville is awesome!! I love the cast and the storylines are great. There should definitely be a 5th season!!!
I hope you find another venue for Nashville. I love it. What is wrong with ABC???
This is a great show. The story lines are intriguing and well written. It would be ashame to let this series die at this point. We are inundated with reality tv these days and it so nice to have a “story” to watch instead. Thank you for the great writing and performing. I truly hope we will see more!
