Will Nashville fare better in the ratings than ABC’s quickly cancelled Cop Rock series? The critics have sung this new show’s praises but we’ll have to wait to see if the viewers agree and if they’ll keep watching.
The first season of Nashville typically airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The drama’s cast includes Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Powers Boothe, Charles Esten, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Robert Wisdom, and Judith Hoag.

Compared to last year’s Revenge premiere in the same timeslot, the network was down by 15% in the demo (vs a 3.3 rating) and down by 10% in viewership (vs 10.02 million). This wasn’t a terrible start but it’s not a great one either.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

This show could be the NEW DYNASTY with a LONG running storyline for the faithful viewers IF ABC will STOP with showing a FEW shows then RERUNS and then a REPEAT of the SAME DOOMSDAY SCHEDULING THAT HAS BEEN DONE TO ONCE UPON A TIME AND SCANDAL. Love Nashville!! I’m a huge country music fan so love the music. Also the characters. I hope it gets renewed. My only complaint is that you show too many repeats in the middle of the regular season.
Nashville is my favorite show on television right now. A definite guilty pleasure.
ABC would be crazy to not bring it back for a second season.
Please don’t cancel Nashville. It will need some time to completely catch on. Even Dallas took a while. What’s the problem Nashville next season should be a given.
I love the characters – I love the setting. But, sometimes the story lines could be improved.
But, I do love the show – and hope that is stays on the air – for a long time.

If you want good ratings show new shows , and give a good show a chance to create a new following. Nashville is a great show stop showing repeats and give it a chance .
Their ratings would go up if they wouldn’t wait so long to show a new one! Plus, the fact that it comes on at 10pm isn’t good for us in the south. They should move it to 9pm instead, and keep it consistent every week. Love this show!!!!!!!!
