Will Nashville fare better in the ratings than ABC’s quickly cancelled Cop Rock series? The critics have sung this new show’s praises but we’ll have to wait to see if the viewers agree and if they’ll keep watching.
The first season of Nashville typically airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The drama’s cast includes Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Powers Boothe, Charles Esten, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Robert Wisdom, and Judith Hoag.

Compared to last year’s Revenge premiere in the same timeslot, the network was down by 15% in the demo (vs a 3.3 rating) and down by 10% in viewership (vs 10.02 million). This wasn’t a terrible start but it’s not a great one either.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

This is by far the best show on TV. I never write comment on these types of board os that’s how much I like this show! I really hope it has many more successful seasons! LOVE Nashville keep up the great work! Interesting story lines, great actors, it has romance, drama, music everything that missing from crappy reality tv.

Nashville is a great show. With so many diverse personalities it keeps us on our toes. I would be very disappointed if they cancel this show. I would really like to know what the powers that be are thinking, since they have too many 2-3 week intervals with the episodes.

I sure hope they cancel Nashville. It has never done that well in the ratings and many of its original viewers have changed channels. It might have a small fan base but its numbers will never grow past dismal because it does not attract new viewers . It moves way too slow to hold an average person’s interest. There is a reason that ABC has put in on hiatus and chosen to show reruns. (( there have only been 21 episodes this season~ not enough for syndication). Hands-down my favorite show on television. Love everything about it but ABC ******** with the schedule!!
This show is excellent and the music is fantastic. The network would be crazy to cancel it but seem to be doing their best to lose viewers with sporadic and erratic scheduling – this snow could, and should, run and run! Amazing cast, endless story arc options and wonderful soundtrack – what’s not to love?! Come on network – renew already
Please don’t cancel Nashville I lived in Nashville for years and it reminds me of home! It needs skittle more time and if u would stop showing reruns that would help when people see the reruns the don’t watch plus it doesn’t make good business so keep it fresh and we’ll keep watching its got an amazing cast!!!!
