Will Nashville fare better in the ratings than ABC’s quickly cancelled Cop Rock series? The critics have sung this new show’s praises but we’ll have to wait to see if the viewers agree and if they’ll keep watching.
The first season of Nashville typically airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The drama’s cast includes Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Powers Boothe, Charles Esten, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Robert Wisdom, and Judith Hoag.

Compared to last year’s Revenge premiere in the same timeslot, the network was down by 15% in the demo (vs a 3.3 rating) and down by 10% in viewership (vs 10.02 million). This wasn’t a terrible start but it’s not a great one either.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

I LOOK FORWARD TO NASHVILLE, I WORK EVENINGS HOWEVER WEDNESDAY NIGHT IS NOW MY EARLY NIGHT HOME FROM WORK AND I CANNOT WAIT TO TURN ON THE TV AND WATCH NASHVILLE….PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW, IT IS INTERESTING, ENTERTAINING AND MOST OF ALL IT IS A CLIFFHANGER…………..
“Nashville” is the best show on ABC of late. The writing is good, the music is good the acting is good; what’s not to like? Both ABC’s “Revenge” who had the Wed 10p time slot last season and “Once upon a time” seem to be floundering in the writing department and the storylines have gotten absurd; I doubt they will be picked up for a third season. If they are, they will struggle and lose audience. ABC will need a Sunday replacement for “Revenge” and “Nashville” is the best on show on any of the old alphabet networks. Adult and… Read more »
I absolutely love “Nashville” it is the best show this year!! I am hoping a soundtrack will be released because the music in this show is AMAZING…and I am not even a big country music fan, it spans genres. Reality tv is terrible, edited fake drama crap. 🙂
The actors really make it look real and sparks fly between the couples, wish it could be longer than an hour. Please don’t cancel.
Cant believe you would even think about taking the show off its the best show thats on tv final theres something to watch instead of reality shows i love this show and cant wait for wednesday nights please dont cancel!
This is an awesome show! It’s far better than most of the others on the air so I really hope it gets renewed.
They better renew this show otherwise TNT will pick it up just like they did another awesome network-cancelled show, Southland.
The show gets better weekly and the music is dynamite!
Love the show!!! Please renew!!
This is the best show that has been on television in a very long time. Not only is the music top notch, so is the acting and the story line. I find the show very entertaining, and look forwards to Wednesday nights. I hope that this show is not cancelled. With all the television channels everyone gets these days, I think that it is hard to become noticed as a series. I believe that if this show goes into season 2 it will become a hit as more people become aware of it. I LOVE the music… hoping that a… Read more »
Love the show & the music. Can’t believe what beautiful voices some of these actors have. And the songs? Love ’em.
Please don’t cancel this show. Seems all my faves get cancelled!
Nashville is my wanted addiction (along with General Hospital) that must remain fed! While I initially felt the thin and hackneyed advertised theme (rivalry between females) was not something I’d cotton to (as I detest this done-to-death dinosaur), I tuned in out of sheer curiosity. It took one episode to have me hooked. The reason: It’s a very well-acted drama which, so far, has kept its players well within its confines (i.e., not bringing in too many outsiders), speaks to everyone’s emotions, and offers up original, beautifully crafted, and very well sung songs. While Connie Britton’s acting is adequate, I… Read more »
Love the show, the best in a long time,
