Will Nashville fare better in the ratings than ABC’s quickly cancelled Cop Rock series? The critics have sung this new show’s praises but we’ll have to wait to see if the viewers agree and if they’ll keep watching.
The first season of Nashville typically airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The drama’s cast includes Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Powers Boothe, Charles Esten, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Robert Wisdom, and Judith Hoag.

Compared to last year’s Revenge premiere in the same timeslot, the network was down by 15% in the demo (vs a 3.3 rating) and down by 10% in viewership (vs 10.02 million). This wasn’t a terrible start but it’s not a great one either.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Please, please renew this show!! I love the music , the storyline and everything about the show. I t is a really good show. There are other shows that I watch but if I miss them it’s ok, with this show I make to see it religiously every Wednesday night at 10:00 pm, I haven’t missed a single episode and don’t plan to. Please dont cancel it really is one of the best shows on right now.

Please keep this show alive! I love everything about it! It seems like every good show has to add weird things to it, except this one. It has such a good mix of drama & country music. Scarlett & Gunner’s story needs to be explored more. Their voices are beautiful. I totally disagree that we could listen to country music radio, instead of this.
It seems that this kind of show is too boring for people. All America wants to see is disgusting sinful stuff. It’s sickening.
Let Nashville die on its own. We could use better programs. and better ideas. Ppl who like this can listen to Country music radio. Otherwise the show is a dud.
Best show on!! I love it. I reallyy hope it cant get a season 2,3,4,5 and so forth! Cast is GREAT, story lines are GREAT, and its just a good show. I dont hardly watch tv but i make sure i watch this every Wendsday! Dont do away with a good show 🙂
I LOVE this new show and my teenage daughters and I can watch this together – the story is ever changing and keeps us watching – are there new shows coming or just repeats?
I think Nashville is one of the best new shows of the season, and with these ratings I really hope it will be renewed for a second season. It’s a great show, one that I try to watch every week. I can’t watch it live because I work Wednesday nights at DISH, but I catch it on my DVR. Nashville is set to auto-record on my DISH Hopper along with the other primetime shows on the four major networks using PrimeTime Anytime, so I never have to worry about missing an episode if I forget to set a timer.
WOW! This is the best show on TV! It’s got great actors, real dialogues, excellent musicians and music that is just fantastic. Needs time to get more people watching it. We love it!!!
