CBS hit paydirt with their NCIS spin-off, NCIS: Los Angeles. Will they find similar ratings success with NCIS: New Orleans? Will this one be a hit and be quickly renewed for a second season? Will it flop and be cancelled? Stay tuned.
NCIS: New Orleans revolves around the local field office in New Orleans, investigating criminal cases that affect military personnel. Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) leads the team. The rest of the cast includes Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan, C. C. H. Pounder, Rob Kerkovich, and Paige Turco.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/12 update: Madam Secretary and two other shows have been renewed for a second season by CBS.
Final season averages: 2.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 15.26 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the NCIS: New Orleans TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Show is bad
I think it is great so far all the plots and the actors are fantastic
We watched a couple of episodes, & decided this was not for us. We didn’t like the writing or the fake accents. I agree that the “Zoe” character is just “blah”! I like both Scott Bakula & CCH Pounder, they’re good actors. My husband likes Paige Turco, but not even she could keep him watching this series!
Absolutely accurate!
FYI people and the writer of this story “NCIS” is not the mothership of the NCIS shows, but “JAG” is. “JAG” was the original and all the “NCIS’s” are spin-offs of “JAG” which got cancelled but it is still the original.
NCIS NO would not exist without NCIS lead in. Poor casting and uneven writing. Not even Ziva could save NCIS NO. Will CBS give it another year to die?
Most likely CBS will give it another year I for one don’t think they should, but it took over NCIS LA’s spot which is the only thing that would or could save it. That Tuesday 9:pm slot on the west coast only gives “NCIS NO” one other show to compete with and “NCIS NO” will never win against ABC “Agents of SHIELD” the only other show on is something called “IZombie” on the CW and let me tell you I watched episode 1 of “IZombie” and it makes NCIS NO look like it’s the best show on TV another words… Read more »
I really like this show. I like all the characters except the lab tech guy, and he’s tolerable. I watch them back-to-back, usually, though from my saved stuff. Once in a while I watch the NO show and skip the original because its plot is too grim. Then I watch it later. I love Zoe’s looks, CCH Pounder’s acting and looks, and Lucas Black a whole lot. To this Northerner, his accent sounds just like my friend from Mobile’s. Hope they keep it!
I love this show! NCIS has been my favorite for years and now I have back to back with NCIS New Orleans. I never got into the NCIS Los Angeles version but the NO version keeps me going back for more. I found this site because I was trying to find out why it wasn’t on tonight which I still don’t know. I will be watching next Tuesday!
NCIS New Orleans kind of sucks compared to NCIS and NCIS LA. I haven’t looked yet but don’t tell CBS in all there freaking wisdom renewed CSI Cyber but is going to cancel Stalker.
Hate it! Hate it! Hate! Give me more NCIS Los Angeles and NCIS and get rid of New Orleans. Dislike the actors, premise, and accents. What an awful show for a city that deserves more!
Watching NO is the same as watching a repeat of the mother ship. same basic characters same basic plot/story lines. more of a difference between NCIS and the LA version. little to no difference between the other two.
This show is not as good as NCIS-LA.. LA averaged 16 million viewers for five years in the 9:00 PM Tuesday slot and now it’s in the 10:00 pm Monday slot and struggling with viewership but winning it’s slot. If they keep this show and get rid of LA, I’m not going to be a happy camper. Please give LA a decent time slot.
NO is too close to the mothership. LA was a little different so it got better ratings. Watching a new episode of NO is like watching a repeat of the original. they are already stealing show ideas from past seasons of NCIS and they aren’t through season one of NO yet.
they need to drop gibbs abby etc making guest slots in the show which i,m up to week 4 is every week this show needs to sink or swim on it own and I like it to be a success because of scott bakula but it look like it sinking
I don’t care for this show. You are trying to replicate the original and this cast just doesn’t have it. Ya know sometimes it is best to leave a good thing alone. Put Hawaii50 in this time slot.
The in series pilot last year had so/so ratings, no wonder this show is fading quick as time goes on. CCH Pounder is wasted, the forensic geek is ANNOYING, Zoe is weak, Lucas Black is too over the top as a southern white boy and quantum leap is a total JOKE, and can he PLEEEEAAAASSSEE keep the same fake accent for more than one word at a time.
Don’t like it
This NCIS is by far the worst. I just can’t see Zoe McLellan playing a good part. She’s just, well, blah. Watching her run, fight, and shoot is humorous while annoying making it harder to watch the show. They could have found a much better person to fill that part. I feel the same for that geek in the office. They go beyond the boundaries with him acting rather odd.
