The Night Shift is set to return to NBC this summer, and the series has added another recurring member to its cast. Jennifer Beals was added as a recurring cast member earlier this year.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Annalynne McCord, who starred on 90210, will join the series during episode five of the upcoming season, and she will appear on at least three episodes. She will “play Jessica Sanders, a striking and driven pharmaceutical rep ‘who’s always looking for a way to make a deal.’
McCord is familiar with the men in charge of the series. She worked with Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah on 90210 when they ran that series. On The Night Shift, she will be a possible love interest for one of the doctors at the hospital.
An exact premiere date for the NBC series has not yet been set, but the EW report made it clear that the series will return to the network this summer.

My husband and I really like the show. It has action, love interest. We hope it stays on.
Started to watch Night Shift as I enjoyed it last year. Right away , episode started with the obligatory gay scene with an injured white woman pretending to be married to a black woman. SO sick of this garbage in every single TV show. Switched to watching CSI.
this is a great show and I can hardly wait for it to return. Summer is a long way away. Season 2 aired from February 23 to May 18, 2015. But I guess networks have to wait to have place for it. I just hope it airs before the Olympics so that it won’t be pre-empted for 6 weeks.
What network is doing the Olympics this time? I LOVE the Olympics and don’t care what’s pre-empted because of them. I do watch Night Shift, but it’s really no Chicago Med!
Nbc does the olympics
Why summer? Last year was in March
