The Powells may have super powers but they weren’t strong enough to save their TV series. No Ordinary Family has been cancelled after one season on the air.
No Ordinary Family revolves around suburban family who, while on vacation, crash into Amazon River and gain special abilities. The cast includes Michael Chiklis, Julie Benz, Autumn Reeser, Jimmy Bennett, Kay Panabaker, Tate Donovan, Christina Chang, and Romany Malco.
The drama had a decent debut last September with a 3.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.69 million total viewers. Unfortunately, the ratings didn’t stay at that level and dropped by 16% in week two and then 15% in week three. The numbers kept declining and went as low as a 1.2 demo rating and just 4.26 million viewers in March.

The network cut the episode order but it was already clear by that point that the show was finished. ABC pre-empted one installment and bumped the penultimate episode to Saturday nights, an evening when few are watching. The first season of No Ordinary Family ended up averaging a 1.8 in the demo and 6.4 million viewers, making it one of the lowest dramas of the ABC season.
ABC has now officially cancelled No Ordinary Family. All 20 episodes have aired. Hopefully, at some point, the producers will share what they had planned for the future of the series.

the reason rating goes down.. I think, in this age people move on, they will do or done something in easy way dislike all complex thing… tv series.. yes they need schedule to run each day week month etc.. but people are more simple, some time they had time some time they no.. so if they miss the show that would be no problem at all, coz they can search trough internet download it and watch it later they want to watch and they had a time.. that’s why the rating goes down… this is good movie, please bring the… Read more »
PLEASE CONTINUE WITH SEASON 2!!!!!!! I really enjoyed that serial and I really wanna now how it continues!! from me they have 10 at idea and originality. Please make more movies like this one! I watch supernatural movies and it’s pretty awsome. so please continue with this!!
I tinnk that this serial is very awsome. I love this kind of movies with fantasy and supernatural powers like Heroes or Smallville. And I saw that 97% from the people voted that it would be a big mistake to leave the movie like this with only 1 season. I guess noone will never know what happens with them. So annoyed that their is not a season 2!! I watched it on netflix but didnt even know it was out on t.v . I know loads of people that enjoyed it! . Bring it back!!
I really enjoyed this show. I don’t even remember it coming out on TV. Perhaps with better advertising it could have survived.

I love no ordinary family I got four episodes left and I’m so sad they defiantly should do a season 2 or maybe just on Netflix that’s where I’m watching season 1 anyway I know Michael chicklis is doing americanhorrorstory freakshow which by the way I am SO excited for but he should do it after also if they do none of the different actors bull **** I hate it when a really good tv series changes the character the cast are so amazing any my personal favourites are kate and Stephanie jaja
No ordinary family was beter than most **** they put on tv nowadays.
Netflix should take it up and release a second season if they can buy the rights to the show would be better for ratings as a lot more people have started watching it in Netflix now it’s the same as what happened to firefly it came out didn’t get good enough ratings then after it was cancelled everyone started watching it and loved it!

Can’t believe they cancelled it I just spent the last week watching episode after episode to find an almost cliffhanger ending to the season, there needs to be another season or a film for closure
