It’s finally official. The No Tomorrow TV show has been cancelled. There will be no tomorrow and no season two on The CW. The series stars Tori Anderson as Evie Covington and Joshua Sasse as Xavier Holliday. The No Tomorrow season one and now series finale aired on January 17, 2017, and the cancellation has been expected for quite some time.
A rom-com fantasy, No Tomorrow centers on Type-A Evie, who starts to look at her life and the world differently, thanks to the free-spirited Xavier. He believes an asteroid will destroy the world in eight months, so he lives his life to its fullest. The CW cast includes Jesse Rath, Amy Pietz, Jonathan Langdon, and Sarayu Blue.
No Tomorrow: A Look at the Ratings
The first and only season of No Tomorrow averaged a 0.26 in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and drew an average total audience of 794,000, so the cancellation makes sense. The comedy series was consistently among The CW’s lowest rated TV shows.
Variety and Deadline have confirmed that along with No Tomorrow, The CW has also cancelled Frequency. Details here.
Back in January, CW exec. Mark Pedowitz said that if the shows were cancelled, the network would provide closure for them, in the form of digital tagd, for each series.
What do you think? Did you watch the first season of the No Tomorrow TV series? Should The CW have cancelled or renewed it for a second season?
Just finished watching and I loved it… please do a season 2. Would love to know what happens next.
Oh what a bummer! Love this show! Light and fun, cute and interesting! Should have advertised this show better and more. I guarantee it. Very sad loss .
LOVE This show! I just discovered on Netflix and thought it was new. I didn’t realize it was made so long ago. It would be amazing to see what happens next! The stories were smart and believable. The characters were real people with everyday problems. The concept was unique. Please bring it back somehow!!
This was a delightful show with a unique story line and believable characters. The actors were just perfect, in their craft and as cast. They were not over the top but perfectly maneuvered the personality of their characters where you would actually want to be friends with them. Please bring this show back. It was comical and not childlike. The writing was fresh and fun!! Light with enough drama mixed in, this would be such a loss not to reconsider for more seasons.
Omg no season 2?? Please reconsider. I loved this show.
Love love love this show! I can not believe it quit airing! Best series I’ve watched in a long time….
I came across No Tomorrow on Netflix and have really enjoyed watching it! It is a top favorite and I had to drag out watching it since there is no season 2 and I didn’t want it to end yet! I really got into the characters and was hoping to have an interesting change up in the storyline for season 2 so am disappointed it was cancelled.
This was one of the best shows I ever seen. I agree that it was not marketed properly. Vs I’m disapointed. PlEase bring it back.
I am 23 and I LOVED No Tomorrow. I wish there was a 2nd season or some sort of closure to the first one. It is a great show I just don’t think it was marketed very well as many people do not know about this amazing show.
I am over 60 and loved No Tomorrow! Would love to see more.
Loved the show, No Tomorrow. Please bring it back for a 2nd season!! I am 28 and loved it. Didnt know it was a show until I saw it on Netflix.
Me and my husband loved the show – no tomorrow and hat that it was canceled… pleasssssssssssse bring it back!!!!!!!!!!
Super bummed out there is no season 2. I guess I am the 1 weirdo who has been checking Netflix to see if Season 2 had come out yet! I agree with the earlier statement about CW being the wrong place for it. I am 36 and loved “No Tomorrow” and I would never watch the shows currently on CW. I agree that CW shows are for a younger generation typically.
The CW was the wrong place for this show millenials who are the cws main viewers would have no interest in this genre . It was quirky and simple but it was upbeat and appealed I think to an older crowd that is just not watching the CW . So while I’ll miss the show I get the decision ! And yes it was the correct decision .
Took me forever to watch it and it was a good show. Would like to see a 2nd season.
