Snappy dresser and prolific comedian Paul F. Tompkins will return to the Fusion cable channel for a fourth season of his puppet news talk show, No, You Shut Up!
According to Variety, the fourth season will be the largest yet with an order of 25 episodes, including two presidential candidate “special reports” to air on November 5 and November 12, 2015.
Starring Tompkins (Comedy Bang! Bang!, Mr. Show) and created by former Daily Show head writer, David Javerbaum, No, You Shut Up! offers a comedic and cartoonish angle on the garden variety news talk program by having a panel of offbeat puppet characters weigh in on a number of issues, from global warming to the recent Ebola outbreak. Alongside the puppets, guests such as Bob Odenkirk (Mr. Show, Better Call Saul) and Patton Oswalt (The King of Queens, Justified) appear for commentary and questions.
From Variety:
“The series … will focus strongly on the 2016 election cycle. ‘I can’t wait to jump into this election season with No, You Shut Up!,’ said Tompkins, in a statement. ‘What a challenge it will be to make a comedy show more ridiculous than the system by which we elect the leader of the free world!'”
The fourth season of No, You Shut Up! premieres on February 4, 2016.
