As previously reported, ABC had planned on running just four of its six episodes of October Road. Though the series shows evidence of losing steam, ABC has changed their plans.
October Road debuted on March 15th to 13.93 million viewers. The second episode dropped 16% and the third dropped to less than 8.3 million. Despite this decline, the series has been attracting a healthy percentage of the desirable 18-49 demographic.
ABC had planned to air only four of the six episodes of October Road this season. If the series was renewed then the remaining two episodes would air as part of season two. ABC has now decided to air the remaining two episodes this season.
October Road will take a one week break while a double dose of sitcom Notes from the Underbelly debuts on April 12th. Underbelly will then move to Wednesday nights beginning April 18th. The two episodes of October Road will air on April 19th and 26th. No word on what will occupy the timeslot after that.
A final decision on an October Road second season will likely be announced in mid-May at the network upfronts. Stay tuned! 
I haven’t liked a show so much in years. I already care about so many of the characters in October Road, and truly look forward to the story lines presented through creative, and insightful writing. Please keep it in your schedule. I’ll watch it any time you chose to put it on, due to available technology.
I can actually say that October Road is one show that both me and my husband fell in love with right off from Episode 1. Please don’t cancel this show. It fits the 30ish peoples age group. Its a show that everyone our age can relate to. WE LOVE THIS SHOW!!! PLEASE CONTINUE NEXT SEASON!! The cast are wonderful people and we love their characters. So please Keep the Show going!

It needs to stay on. How many ppl actually watch the martha stewart show? Ratings are lower, because it’s prime-time., Us late nighters appriciated having such a GREAT a drama on that late.
Me and my roommates have gathered for October road every thursday night. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! DON’T TAKE IT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I look forward to Thursday nights all week long!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this show so much. There should definately be a second season. It’d be very disappointing if it were to get canceled.

It’s dissappointed how ABC keep their best show ever. Octuber Road and Men in tree are the best shows ever. We are the ones taht keep the ABC ratings up, so you ABC should pelased us.
I hope the people who are in charge of deciding whether “october road” is picked up for the next season are reading these comments. After seeing the first four shows I can only hope they know when they have come up with a winner, as we all do.Heres to “October Road” in the Fall 2007 !!!!!!!!!!!
October Road is such an amazing show. I often hate the acting in many of these kind of shows. The acting in this show is amazing. I really hope that it comes back next season.

I really think that viewer ratings are low because it comes on late for those that are early risers, like me, I’m a teacher. I love this show and I really hope that they don’t cancel it. The way to build viewers, is to keep it going and people spreading the word on how good it is. Please don’t cancel it!! I’m already disappointed that the season is ending.
If this show gets canceled, it will be a big mistake. Thursday night is a great tv night again with Grey’s and October Road. It should stay this way. Put Men in Trees on Sunday and keep October Road on Thursdays!
I love this show! It’s fun and free from trash (such as Men in Trees). It’s refreshing when something interesting and cleaner than usual is aired. I don’t understand why they’re cutting it! I think it’s a great show and hope they air it again…. cut Men in Trees instead!
Love the show. Highly addictive and I hope that ABC picks it up in the fall. It’s nice to finally have a great Thursday night line-up again.
