As previously reported, ABC had planned on running just four of its six episodes of October Road. Though the series shows evidence of losing steam, ABC has changed their plans.
October Road debuted on March 15th to 13.93 million viewers. The second episode dropped 16% and the third dropped to less than 8.3 million. Despite this decline, the series has been attracting a healthy percentage of the desirable 18-49 demographic.
ABC had planned to air only four of the six episodes of October Road this season. If the series was renewed then the remaining two episodes would air as part of season two. ABC has now decided to air the remaining two episodes this season.
October Road will take a one week break while a double dose of sitcom Notes from the Underbelly debuts on April 12th. Underbelly will then move to Wednesday nights beginning April 18th. The two episodes of October Road will air on April 19th and 26th. No word on what will occupy the timeslot after that.
A final decision on an October Road second season will likely be announced in mid-May at the network upfronts. Stay tuned! 
Don’t cancel this show! It is something that the 30-something bracket can relate to in one way or another. For many it represents part of our lives. It is a GREAT show. I don’t miss it, friends don’t miss it. Give it a real chance. Please.

October Road is a wonderful, heartfelt show and I absolutely love it! The characters, the interactions, and the drama keep me watching. The show has captured my attention and many others. I, too, was very sad to see that the season finale is next week but I have hope that it will be on for a second season!
The show is awesome! I was bummed to see it was already on it’s Season Finale. ABC needs to give it more than 4 episodes before they cut it loose. They need to give it a chance!

October road is an awesome show that I never miss. If I fall alseep I aways watch it online. It is one of the best new shows on TV. I hope it does not get canceled.
I was DEVASTATED to find out that next week is the season finale. My jaw just dropped!! I even called my best friend to vent! I love this show and it looks like I’m not the only one. How can a network pull the rug right out from under our feet when we’re completely pulled into the show. Please keep October Road on the air!!

I just found October Road on your website. Where have you been hiding this gem? I watch Grey’s Anatomy, which I have to tape due to the fact that I work nights. Not knowing there was such a great show on afterwards. I can’t believe that there wasn’t more hoopla about this show. I’m hoping that enough viewers will write in and keep this show another season and beyond.

I don’t own a TV, and don’t watch many shows (except for my few favorites that I download online) but this show is fabulous and has had my full enthusiasm since episode 1! I was very saddened when I heard that ABC might pull it off. What a misjudgement of quality and potential that would be on ABC’s part. KEEP THIS SHOW RUNNING!! A show this good can’t go wrong if it keeps running after Grey’s.

I absolutely love October Road. I think it is appealing to viewers of a wide range of ages. I will be extremely disappointed if you take this show away. It touches on a lot of sensitive subjects, including the bonds of friendship, family and trials of life.
