What’s This TV Show About?
A Cinemax horror drama from Robert Kirkman, Outcast stars Patrick Fugit, Philip Glenister, Wrenn Schmidt, David Denman, Reg E. Cathey, Kate Lyn Sheil, Julia Crockett, and Brent Spiner. The supernatural series centers on Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now an adult, Kyle is determined to find answers, while protecting his hometown, and everything and everyone he holds dear.
Season Two Ratings

Telly’s Take
Will Cinemax cancel or renew Outcast for season three? Season two aired in the UK more than a year ago so that no doubt hurt the United States ratings. The long delay in airing season two would seem to indicate that this show isn’t a priority for Cinemax. I suspect the show is over. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL OUTCAST!! ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS, BY FAR!! Every episode the show gets more and more interesting! Whoever is doing the advertising & marketing should know better than to wait so long between seasons!! Of course the result was lower ratings! Such a shame!! Stop sabotaging this great show and sign them for 3 more seasons. The writers are amazing with this storyline & the acting is beyond superb. OUTCAST was great! I don’t understand why it took so long for Season 2 to air in the US, since it aired in Canada last year. I feel that is why the ratings are down. Who wants to watch then wait two years for additional seasons. I just hope that they don’t make me wait another 2 years to watch a Season 3
It is not the greatest show but I really want to know the end of the story.

Netflix doesn’t really have ratings anymore. They pretend to know what movies I like but they have no idea. It’s a weird system they have now.
I feel the decrease in viewing may be due to the length of time it took to air season 2. I am currently watching it and can not imagine not having a season 3. Please, keep this show going. I love the premise and want to know how it ends. I also loved Quarry and just learned it will not be returning. That’s so sad. These are both awesome shows with good writing and acting. Outcast is BY FAR the best thing that has come along in quite some time for me. I can easily see this series being capable of going 5 seasons at the very least! I’m really hoping the Producers of this show have a vision for this show that will carry it way past 5 seasons! I’m on the edge of my seat from week to week. A little advertising might be helpful if they want to grow their viewership!

Needs more advertising plus too long between seasons. Why so long to wait? Even British s2 was shown almost a year ago. I have already read misinformation about season 3 being cancelled. And they wonder why ratings down??? Please this is to good a show to lose. Cinemax get behind it or give it to another that will give us the entire series that this material deserves. CINEMAX Is supposedly returning to its action roots thus we lost the Nick, Quarry and feet dragging on this one.

Outcast is intense with a story line that just gets more interesting. It would be a travesty if it was not renewed! I agree with the others. Get the word out that this show is really good. Anyone who likes the horror genre should love this series!
I love this series. Been watching it since the beginning of it but it definitely needs more advertising. It’s a great show and I’m a big horror fan. I hope you continue to keep it on.
It’s no wonder the ratings aren’t there! There was relatively no advertising that it was coming back to Cinemax! I think the people watching it are the ones (including me) that were watching and waiting for it to come back. If it hadn’t taken well over a year for it to be shown here it would surely have a better audience! I would love to see a season 3 and 4. But it looks like it’s doomed.

Please dont cancel outcast bring season 3 on. I just found this series. Try advertising and let people know when and where to watch. Your rating will go up if we know about it.
The more I have watched this show the better it gets. Better marketing needed to attract viewers, It is a a great series with good acting and directing
I really like this show. It’s nothing like what’s on TV right now. It’s really well done. It actually has the capability to garner a following but the marketing and press behind it isn’t there. I hope a smarter network picks it up if Cinemax lets it go. They really did it a disservice allowing Season 2 to be released so late but I waited faithfully because I enjoy it so much. It’s disappointing for me so I can only imagine how the actors and creative team feel

Agreed, they need to advertise better. I found season 2 by accident after thinking it had been cancelled. I’ll cancel my showtime if it’s not renewed. Losing Quarry sucked, losing outcast will send me over the top.
