Are you a fan of Outsiders? WGN America just cancelled the TV series after two seasons. What do you think? Do you think it should have been renewed? Would you watch a third season on another channel?
Airing on Tuesday nights, the Outsiders drama follows the Farrell clan, a tight-knit family who reside in the rugged hills of Appalachia and come into conflict with the surrounding population. The cast includes David Morse, Thomas M. Wright, Ryan Hurst, Joe Anderson, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Christina Jackson, Francie Swift, and Phyllis Somerville.
Ratings have never been great for Outsiders, but it’s been one of the highest-rated original scripted shows on WGN America. Currently, season two is averaging a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demo and 780,000 viewers — down by 26% in the demo when compared to the first season. Now, it seems that the upcoming season two finale, scheduled for April 25th, will also serve as the series finale.
Or, will it? Sony Pictures Television is reportedly shopping a third season of Outsiders to other outlets. The show’s ratings wouldn’t seem to be a strong selling point but, these days, you never know.

It’s literally my and my boyfriends favorite show in TV right now. We leave 2 other shows for HULU the next day because it’s sooooo good!

I would most certainly continue to watch this series. I like it very much, particularly the actors and the plot. I am very disappointed in the network for cancelling it, especially since it’s the most watched and best rated new series on the network. Shame on them.
Love the series, it echos that all of us are slaves to the system. And that the oligarchies are positioned to only make our lives less free, and less humans.
Outsiders is a great show. Please don’t cancel it.
