Are you a fan of Outsiders? WGN America just cancelled the TV series after two seasons. What do you think? Do you think it should have been renewed? Would you watch a third season on another channel?
Airing on Tuesday nights, the Outsiders drama follows the Farrell clan, a tight-knit family who reside in the rugged hills of Appalachia and come into conflict with the surrounding population. The cast includes David Morse, Thomas M. Wright, Ryan Hurst, Joe Anderson, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Christina Jackson, Francie Swift, and Phyllis Somerville.
Ratings have never been great for Outsiders, but it’s been one of the highest-rated original scripted shows on WGN America. Currently, season two is averaging a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demo and 780,000 viewers — down by 26% in the demo when compared to the first season. Now, it seems that the upcoming season two finale, scheduled for April 25th, will also serve as the series finale.
Or, will it? Sony Pictures Television is reportedly shopping a third season of Outsiders to other outlets. The show’s ratings wouldn’t seem to be a strong selling point but, these days, you never know.

I think putting this show on a better known network will help it’s ratings. It is original and exciting to watch, I will be so disappointed if it just disappears. I love the realness and rawness of it, I have to see a resolve for the Ferrell before it ends!

Definitely! This show is so original and diverse, which is what the network said it wasn’t. They were very foolish to cancel such an outstanding show.

It’s my and my boyfriends favorite show on tv right now! We leave 2 other shows in at the same time for Hulu the next day because Outsiders is sooooo good!
