OWN’s original scripted programming has largely revolved around dramas, and some of them have done quite well on the smaller cable network. While Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse has ended its first run, now the prolific creator is bringing some laughter to the Oprah Winfrey Network, with a spin-off of his long-lived sitcom, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Is the audience ready for more laughs with this family? Will The Paynes be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A comedy, The Paynes TV show stars Cassi Davis Patton, LaVan Davis, Jackée Harry, Stephanie Charles, Markice Moore, JD McCrary, Sanai Victoria, and Anthony O. Dalton. The OWN TV series centers on Ella and Curtis Payne (Davis Patton and Davis). He’s a somewhat brash, retired fire chief, while she’s a patient, long-suffering homemaker. Retirement isn’t all smooth sailing for them, and they experience plenty of lows along with the highs.

The Paynes hasnt been cancelled has it? because it seems that it would have come back by now the way Tyler Perry does his shows.and he should bring the cast of House Of Payne on there to make it better

I agree with the other viewers. I loved the House of Payne it was hilarious! The Payne’s is funny but it just drags. Curtis’ story line is boring, he stays on the same subject for way to long. Bring back the original cast from House of Payne. I was quite disappointed when I realized the whole cast wasn’t going to be on the Payne! Love you Tyler Perry and all that you do!
I agree with bring back the original cast to add to The Payne’s alone with the new cast, that will spice the show up, bring more ratings and laughs.
Although i am looking forward to season 3, i feel the dialogue needs to pick up. More of the story could be told in each episode. I enjoy the actors. I am happy with the new direction for Nila character. However, the writing for Terrance makes him loom goofy and Curtis appears lazy and uneducated- Curtis character was a Fire Chief and Ella a college graduate. Ella is more than just a church lady. The Payne’s is boring I love house of Payne’s they should bring back the cast because ethe paynes are the same line and is really boring I only watch it because I want to see the if the cast from house of paynes are coming back or they should move back to Atlanta
The new Paynes is rather boring. I constantly watch The House of Payne which is really great. Unlike the new show which seems to go nowhere. They constantly repeat the same lines over and over during the entire thirty minutes of the show. Nothing gets resolved, and the main characters seems to have lost their charm that draws me to the original show. The new characters are boring and unrealistic!
I like the new show somewhat. Tyler needs to bring back the original surrounding cast.
I’m a big fan of the tv show. Please bring back the original cast members. I find the current storyline boring with the young mom and her boyfriend problems. It would be nice if some of the original cast members could rotate on future episodes.
