TV show description:
This crime drama follows a presumed dead former-CIA agent named John Reese (Jim Caviezel) who teams up with a mysterious billionaire, Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson), who’s also believed to be dead. Their goal is to prevent violent crimes by using technology and their own brand of vigilante justice.
Finch is a software genius who has invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people who are about to be involved in violent crimes — either the victim or the perpetrator. It was originally built for the government to prevent another 9/11 disaster but found that it was predicting less catastrophic, “irrelevant” crimes. Finch built a “backdoor” into the machine so that, before erasing the “irrelevant” data each night, Finch is sent the social security number of a person about to be involved in a serious crime.
Finch recruits Reese because of his special training in covert operations. Using their combined skills, resources and advanced surveillance technology, they work outside of the law to identify “persons of interest” and stop crimes before they occur.
Reese’s actions draw the attention of the NYPD — including homicide detectives Carter (Taraji P. Henson) and Fusco (Kevin Chapman). The latter is a corrupt cop and Reese blackmails him into being a source of information inside the department.
With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch find that locating the right person, with the right information, at the right time, can change everything.
Episode #103 — Return 0
Finch, Reese, Fusco and Shaw embark on one last mission to prevent Samaritan from destroying The Machine and cementing its hold over mankind.
First aired: June 21, 2016.

Why do they always cancel the good shows and leave the crappy ones going. This is not the first show that was really good that they left us hanging on with no ending.
One of the best series on television cannot believe it is being cancelled!
Just recently encountered the series. Sorry to hear it’s being cancelled. I’ve been a fan of Jim Caviezel for many years……very diverse actor.
what the ???
best show i’ve seen in years
I have never heard of the show until the beginning of this year. I am addicted. Im glad that I have Directv. I save all of my recordings and watch them over and over. John is sooooo sexy to watch. I was disappointed to hear that the show was cancelled. Just when I find something I really enjoy watching.
HUHHHH Why cancel ??? I arranged appointments around it or in the least made sure I recorded it. Heaven forbid someone dares to interrupt it (ie: phone, doorbell, power outage!! etc)
I am in total disbelief. This is the type of programming is would actually keep me watching network TV. Oh, well, I guess we’ve still got 2 Broke Girls and Dr. Ken *sarcasm*. Great job, guys. You’ve cancelled another great show.
Please excuse my typo.
Unbelievable how could you leave us hanging with John and root and finch walking in to the smoke with the computer .
I live in London and love this show the best show
On British TV . We need seson six and a better ending come on cbs show so spunk make the last show
I Love this show! Another great show canceled!
… you just lost a viewer CBS …. to not wrap this series up …..unthinkable ….
They should put the show on USA or tnt network great show
Best show ever
Perhaps the problem was because it was too intelligent. It made people think, and question the surveillance state our country has become. The program showed both sides of the surveillance issue. The corrupt and the incorruptible. It is said life imitates art but, art tells the story of life. This show was amazing and informative. The characters were believable. It should have been renewed. And you’re right, Shaw was one tough chick.
One of m favorite shows, sucks!
Not happy, this was one of the best shows on the tube..flat panel, hope they do not conceit!
