Is Pitch sticking around for a second inning? Recently, star Mark-Paul Gosselaar spoke to TVLine about the future of the FOX TV series.
The sports drama follows Ginny Baker (Kylie Bunbury), the first woman to play for a Major League Baseball team. The cast also includes Ali Larter, Mark Consuelo, Dan Lauria, Mo McRae, Meagan Holder, and Tim Jo.
In the interview, Gosselaar said he’s “absolutely” certain there will be a second season of Pitch, despite its low ratings and the fact that FOX has not ordered additional episodes. Currently, the freshman series is averaging .91 in the 18-49 demo and 3.322 million viewers:
Absolutely. I’m not even entertaining the thought that we won’t come back. Mo [McRae] and Kylie [Bunbury] and myself, we’ve all said that we’ll give our bodies about a month break before we go into our preseason routine and begin training again for next season.”
The season one finale of Pitch airs on December 8th.

My family and I absolutely love this show. We keep looking for season two and I ran into this article. Don’t cancel!! One of few great shows the whole family can watch (with the exception of a few scenes ) which I’m fine with.

Really like this show. Thought it was going to be kitschy but the storyline has been good and also has stayed true to baseball as well.
Pitch is a great show. Its my boyfriend and I favourite show to watch together. I hope it comes back.

No!!!!!! Why is it every time a good show comes on they cancel it? Fox does not have that many good shows to lose a really good one! Someone else Please pick it up!!!!
If Fox doesn’t continue it, maybe Netflix would take it over. It’s a good show.
Fox is not advertising their shows enough for people to know about them I blame Fox. This is a very good show.

Absolutely! Another season is a must! It is a very well thought out program that is not cliche and just baseball
